Yoga with Sarah and Dancing Salmon Poké and First Impression post

July 5, 2023: Ok so I started off the day with my meds at 6:09am with a strawberry vanilla 11g fat yogurt. I also messaged some people a bit, and then I posted a few pictures on Reddit on the subreddit r/FirstImpressions, just to get an idea what people might think when they see me. Before the class, I also emailed Teresa about whether there would be a chance to do photos for Make A Wish today, since she’d said that someone would reach out to me, and now it’s the day of the volunteer shift and no one has reached out. So I actually did end up calling her right before my yoga class, and she told me that what I put on my calendar is wrong. It’s actually August 5, not July 5. She also said that she’d ask about whether I could do photography there. About the car, I also drove to Action Auto in St. Louis Park to pick up my dad. He had dropped my car off this morning, since it’s good enough to drive to the dealer, but not to drive casually. So I picked him up at the location, and he was glad that my yoga class was at 10 not 9 today, so I had time to do that. I’m gonna also admit that I felt nice and independent when I was driving there to do that. I also listened to some more 95.7, which is the Spanish station. I might even listen to it after I get my car back and can play music again. Also, we’ll see what happens with the car. Always possible that I’ll never drive again, of course. I’ve got an alarm for 8:09am, when I’ll be able to have a quick snack since it’s been two hours since the meds. Alright, I listened to the alarm and had a whole plain bagel with cream cheese after that. Good, because then I wasn’t too hungry during yoga. Yoga was incredibly interesting today. Debi wasn’t there. The substitute teacher was a woman named Sarah. Sarah did this incredibly interesting thing where she didn’t even have us use our matts for most of the lesson. Before the class I also talked to her a bit too. We talked about me living in Minneapolis but having the St. Paul location be closer to me than the Sabes Center in Minneapolis. It wasn’t a dead class today, though I did tell her that recently there were only three people there. More like 10 today. Sarah also mentioned she was 43 during the class, which surprised me because she looks way younger. Then when I was taking my photo with her, I just told her that I like to take photos and do this blog because my memory is so bad after the injury. In the yoga class I also wore the socks that Mayo had given me for the MRI, and it worked beautifully. Unlike regular socks, they have grippy things so they don’t slip. After the class I tried to go to the pool. It was tragically being cleaned today. I even asked a life guard how often they cleaned it because I thought once a month. Turns out it’s once every two weeks. So then I sat in the edge of the kids pool for a few minutes, and texted Hannah about this fake review on my Google profile, which I thought was for one of her friends, but I guess it’s not. Don’t think I’ve ever been to that restaurant, Kona Grill, even though I said I had a “great time there with my family.” I think it was just for a restaurant that did the same thing Fogo did with giving servers rewards if they got a certain number of reviews that mentioned their name. Then after the pool dip, I drove over to Poké House and Tea Bar using absolutely no directions. I was just curious if I could do it, and I could! Never done that before, though I have been there a few times. Today I got the Dancing Salmon bowl, which was suggested to me when I asked for spicy bowl that weren’t the “spicy bowl” or “tuna flame.” So now I’m just gonna chill til I have my 2pm training session with Will, where he might introduce me to Chloe, the new trainer. Last ate at 11:49am, and probably won’t eat more til it’s time for my night meds. What I did after lunch, was I drove over to Papa’s house and chilled with iced coffee for a few hours til it was time for my 2pm Will training session. In my session with Will, I was supposed to meet my new trainer Chloe. But she didn’t show, and Will said it might have something to do with the baby she just had. During training, I got to 40 pulls per minute on the rower for the first time too, which is totally unimportant. Will also told me that hopefully I’ll be able to meet Chloe after I go to my barre class on Friday. He also said she might be better because she’s a girl and might be able to understand dating stuff better. The last thing I told Will was to make sure to tell Chloe how much I’ve improved in the months he’s been training me. On the way out of the gym, the receptionist Luke told me that Hannah was gonna be back early next week, too. Then, I had to run back to Papa’s house, because I’d forgotten my backpack there earlier in the day. I also decided just to stay through the time I took my meds, which I did at 6pm, not 6:09pm, because this Odyssey group call for people with serious illnesses was happening and Papa didn’t want me to be eating during the call. So I ate my Fiery Chicken Curry right before the call, then took my meds at 6pm, when the call started. Earlier, Bill had stopped by and asked if we wanted to play bocce ball with him, but because of the call I couldn’t.
