About me

My name is Anya and I am recovering from a severe TBI caused by a speeding, unlicensed SUV driver. I was hit while walking across a street in Minneapolis. I created this photo journal to help me process and document my recovery. I had multiple serious fractures, and spent 16 days on a ventilator, 19 days in surgical ICU, another week in a neuro trauma step-down unit, and more than three weeks in acute rehab. This photo journal is an unvarnished look at how I was feeling during the many months of recovery.
