Yoga with Maya and Canasta with Papa and Jodi and Car with gas

July 7, 2023: Ok I’ll start this right away today. Meds at 5am with a honey greek yogurt. Then I played the games we play, and did my makeup and got my stuff ready for the day. After 7am, I also had half a bagel with smoked salmon and cream cheese on it. Then I went to make some coffee, but I realized that I still had now-iced coffee in the fridge from yesterday. Also made another half a bagel with lox the rest of my breakfast. Could always run into the gym a bit early, like at 7:30am. Ok I’ll do that. Leaving the computer here too. Alright so I did get there a bit early, and before I left home I finished the bagel and also Swiffered the kitchen a bit. Today I arrived at the gym at like 7:48am, and Papa told me that the exclamation mark in his dashboard means that one of the tires is low. I’ve learned not to ignore signs on the dashboard now, for sure. He asked me if I could come in before yoga, but I said I was already at the gym, since driving there is when I noticed the light. Since I got there early I had time to chat with the gym desk guy, whose name was Taylor, who told me that his position chooses the Pandora station for the music. Will also told me that Chloe would be in later today. I also stretched a bit in the hallway using the green strap Will had me use before. While doing that I remembered that Will said yesterday that one of the big things that’s changed about me recently is that I’m wayyy more interested in stretching recently. Honestly it’s partly because of yoga classes. Then I went to my yoga class, and I had the best conversation ever with a girl in my class, named Maya. Tragically I forgot to ask her how old she was, but she seems reasonably close to my age. I told her about the cancer and the TBI, and the cancer came up because I was talking about my amazing socks for yoga, that have grippers on the bottom, which I have because I stole them from Mayo Clinic after my MRI the other day. Then I also told her about this project, and how physical therapy because of the TBI got me into going to the gym. Jordan, the teacher, also said that my new trainer Chloe sometimes comes into her class, but she had a client today. After class I told Jordan that I wasn’t gonna ask for a picture with her because I had the best conversation ever with Maya, and was gonna ask her. Jordan did take the photo though, which I also made sure had decent lighting. I also only realized much later that the photo Jordan took also had a few other women in the class smiling on the side. No idea about their names. I even told Jordan that I'd posted the photo of her and I with Debi on my Instagram too. She liked that, though I didn’t get around to asking for her Instagram so I could tag her. Maya definitely made some comment at the end that was something like the fact that she was super proud of me for coming to the gym after all I’ve been through, but I don’t remember exactly what it was. After the class, I also successfully got to meet my new trainer, Chloe. Will introduced me to her, which was nice. I was planning on also showering after the class at the gym, but then I realized that I had to get to Papa’s to have him fill his tire up with air before the meeting with Sarah. Then I went over to Papa’s house, so he could do that. While we were there, I also got a reply from Jodi, who I’d messaged earlier. She said she worked at night but would be open to doing something mid-day. Then we had a really good meeting with my TBI case worker Sarah in my apartment. The takeaways were that she would look into finding a new job coach for me, who would maybe help with looking for a job too. The other big takeaway is that Sarah also has a snake tattoo! I didn't see it because it was on her leg and she refused to strip for us today. I also told her that ideally I'd like to be married and have job that pays health insurance. She said she'd send us a very big email full of resources and links, but she couldn't solve any of my biggest desires. After the meeting, which was quite useful, we actually ended up having both of us drive over to Jodi's house for lunch. The three of us also played Canasta, though we couldn’t finish to the 7500 points that 3-person requires, also because Jodi was going to work. I was losing, partly because I picked up the stack the last two rounds, which is bad in 3-person. For food, we had a Jodi-salad and some Spinach ricotta ravioli with pesto, and also smoked salmon. I also noted that I’d last eaten at 2:05pm for the meds. While we were there, mom called us and let us know that shockingly my green car was gonna maybe be ready by today. We’d thought it’d take a lot more time. So then we decided to have Papa drive me back to my house so I could pick up some stuff like my laptop, and then I'd bring his loaner car back to his house. He drove us to the Morrie’s Hyundai, the shop where the car was dropped off. He also said that in one of my past photos I’d called it Action Auto, when it was really Morrie’s Hyundai Dealer in St. Louis Park. We drove there in the loaner car that he’d been given by them, and then he dropped that off and got my car! Honestly we got it wayyy faster than we’d been expecting to, but we’re not complaining about a fast turnaround. I also have got both my chargers in my green car now. My car was also almost out of gas, so we filled it up using the insurance money card too. Probably more gas than I’ve pretty much ever gotten in my car at once too, since I remembered that it was close to empty when we dropped it off at the dealer. So now, I’m just gonna take a quick shower, because I’d been planning on doing that at the gym this morning, but then I had to drive his car back to his house to get the tire filled, so I didn’t. So I’ll do that now! Ok I actually did not do that now. Next day now, I fell asleep, which is also why I didn't post this. The only other ting to mention is that I also had my meds at 6:15pm with lamb vindaloo. Couldn't have them at 5pm because we were out driving the car. Better to have them with an actual meal anyways, which I said then too.
