Yoga with Jordan, training with Chloe, games with parents, game night

August 25, 2023: Alright I’m just gonna go through my photos today, no notes. I didn’t write a lot of notes today anyways. Today started by having my meds at 5:58am with two 6g fat banana and strawberry yogurts. Then I went into yoga, which was with Jordan today. I felt like I enjoyed it a bit less than I have in the past, probably because I’m very depressed. When I walked in, I also talked to the desk guy Tim a bit about my new job, and then after yoga I told the same stuff to Jordan. When I went to training with Chloe, I told her right away that I had been seriously considering just pretending to be happier than I felt and not talking about the depression during the session. I did end up talking about it, which actually was nice. She also told me that she felt like I was being very “strong” in training today, and that I was balancing a bit better than in the past too. She was also impressed that I was gonna go swim after the session, and thought I was doing a lot of good things. Unfortunately, I didn’t write down a lot of what she said, and my TBI-brain is failing to remember it. Afterwards, I went to the hot tub and sat in it for a bit. I was considering actually going out and swimming a bit too, but I didn’t get to that today, even though I’d told Chloe I was gonna do it and she had been quite impressed with that for me. So anyways, I didn’t write down much about what I did for the rest of the day, and I’ve kinda lost it in my mind. I know that I went back to my dad’s house for lunch and we made a pasta salad thing that I think had tuna. A bit later, my mom stopped by too, and the three of us played some card games together, which was a good moment in my day. Then she actually had Papa come over to her new condo to get a tour of it. I was gonna have him drive me there, but then I decided that I’d feel better about myself if I drove there. So, I drove him over there in my car, and then he was able to pick up a check for some house repair thing I didn’t understand. Then, right after we left mom’s, Papa actually said that he had to stop at Trader Joe’s to pick up some food. So, I drove him there too. At Trader Joe’s I picked up a little bit more yogurt with the right fat count. For dinner, I decided to have my meds at 5:20pm, with a 16g fat empanada that I put over some lettuce. I just cut a bit of it off, so it wouldn’t be too much fat for my 14g limit. Then I hung around til my 6pm game night call, which was with Our Odyssey, the group for people with rare diseases. It was supposedly a “game night,” but there were some technical difficulties and it didn’t really feel like playing games. Also, the “games” weren’t actual strategy games. So, to be totally honest, I didn’t enjoy the call that much even though I’d signed up because a game night sounded interesting.

Grateful things: I have a personal trainer who I can really talk to and share things with. I enjoy games a lot, especially when they're in person.
