Yoga with Jordan, Hot tub not Chloe, Sea Salt and Canasta with Papa

July 14, 2023: Ok so today has been kind of a good day. So this morning I took my meds at 5:04am with two 6g yogurts for 12g of fat total. It was my last set of those, a strawberry and a vanilla. Then I waited til 7:04am to also eat half a bagel with lox and cream cheese. I also made a list of things to accomplish during the cabin week, which is emailing Tom the Rotary guy about how he asked for some help with social media presence, and also to choose the photos for some new business cards for me and order them. Then I left to go to my yoga class. When I walked in, Chloe the new trainer said hi a bit. Then I sat down and took a bunch of pictures of my note notebook that I carry with me, into the Adobe Scan app. During the barre class I was exercising next to this woman named Nicole, and I told her she had the same name as my ex-roommate. I also told Jordan, when I was taking the photo, that I wouldn’t be here next week because I’ll be out of the state. Then I went straight to my first ever training session with Chloe. She’s sometimes in yoga with Jordan, apparently, but had a client today. I asked her if she had any tattoos, and she said no, that she’s a bit scared of needles. I told her all about my potential new Spanish-speaking jobs, and that I’ll have my secondary interview after the cabin week. I also told her all about my photo of the day project, and she said that she loves the idea of it, and that it makes her think about starting a similar project for herself. Tragically I didn’t take a photo with her for it, even though I’m sure she’d have said yes. Instead I just used yesterday’s late BeReal when I was sitting in the hot tub, which I did after training. I stayed there for one cycle of the bubbles. I think Chloe will be really good, just like Will was. Turns out that she actually previously had the same position that Will is moving into, which she can’t do anymore because she just had a baby. She said she met her boyfriend around 2020 or something, and the baby tragically doesn’t sleep much yet. I also told Chloe a tiny bit of more personal stuff that I’m sure I already told Will too. Then after the hot tub, I was a bit hungry so I went over to Papa’s house. There we sorted out some stuff for the cabin trip, and I got another roll of paper towels for my car. Then he came back to my house, and he helped me get my pills ready for the cabin, and we counted the amount of the cancer med that I have. Turns out that now I’m gonna try taking two of them in the morning, and one at night, to make sure it's affecting me enough, so we were just making sure that I have enough to get through the next week doing that. I do. And then we decided to eat our lunch at Sea Salt together. At Sea Salt, I didn’t have anything to drink, but I did have a tiny free sample of the tropical fruited sour. For food, I ordered the calamari tacos and ate them with some green tabasco sauce. I also succeeded in having a long conversation in Spanish with the table next to us. The guy in that couple was from Costa Rica, and he recommended a Costa Rican restaurant in the cities to me, named Marnas Eatery. They also knew about Chimborazo, which is probably my current favorite restaurant. Well, at least he also told me I had good Spanish. I also told them I learned it from Ecuadorians and I currently volunteer at a few food banks as a translator. It’s funny because I only said hi to them because I heard them say a little bit in Spanish to their baby kid, who was there too. After that conversation, I heard the table right behind me also ask how to say shrimp in Spanish, and I turned around and answered that it was camarón. Then after those two interactions, I asked Papa if he could see how badly I wanted a Spanish-speaking job. Anyways, then Papa drove us over to Cub foods to pick up some groceries for him and also to grab one more yogurt for tomorrow morning for me. Then he took me back home and we cleaned a lot and played a game of Canasta. He won, by not that much though. He decided to vacuum, and said he hadn’t done it since I was on the trip in Florida. Admittedly, I shed a TON of white hair onto the ground, and he had to cut it all out of the vacuum. We also figured out with Talia that I’ll go over to his place and leave my car there during the next week, and I’ll get there around 8am tomorrow. Oh and I almost didn't put this in, but I also took my night meds at the same time I'd taken my morning ons, 5:04pm with a pack of nuts and cheese from Open Door that I know I grabbed specifically because it was the right fat count for the medication.
