August 23, 2023:
Today was not the best day ever. It started by me having my medication at 5:30am with some yogurt, and then I had a communications meeting with some people from Open Door. The meeting really made me think that I’m not sure if I wanna keep going to those meetings, because I’m not involved in Open Door communications things, like some people on the call were. Then I went to yoga, which should have been with Debi today, but one of her kids had an appointment, so it was subbed by a woman named Elizabeth who I’ve had before too. I know I’ve taken photos with Elizabeth before, but I didn’t today because I didn’t really enjoy the yoga as much as I usually do.
Then I went over to my dad’s house and had some sushi with him, because today was the day for 6$ sushi at Lunds. Then it was time for me to go into my first day of training at the Bilingual Learning Center. There was a woman named Elianna who was explaining stuff to me, and frankly it overwhelmed me a bit. I didn’t take a photo there, even though I know I could have at the end when the actual boss was talking to me. Her name is Blanca and she’s Venezuelan. Honestly the best part of my first day of training was talking to her a bit, and she told me that I could come in any time in the next week to get a handle on stuff a bit. That was good. Then I went back to my dad’s house, where I had my night meds a bit late, at 5:53pm, because I decided to go on a walk with him and the dog and a different guy and his dog as well. Well, as far as photos I have my BeReal I took eight hours late, a bit after 7pm, with Papa and Rosie on the floor of his office. Also at night, Papa was able to call the boss at the job and ask her some more questions about hours and expectations, so that was useful to hear.
So yeah, the other thing that kind of disappointed me about my day is that I’ve been looking forward to today because I felt like this new job might get me back on the right path and start caring about things again, but that hasn’t happened yet. I also talked to my building manager KC a bit at the end of the night when I went home, and he told me that quitters never win and winners never quit, so I guess that’s what I’ll do with this job. I’ll just give it a shot for a few months and see if it can get better. I don't really even have nice photos for the day, even though I'm 110% certain that Blanca would have taken one with me.
Grateful things: The fan in my room is nice, it was good that I was able to shower after yoga in the morning, and Blanca really cares about helping me.
