Yoga with Elizabeth and Tina, Open Door with Jodi and Sam in Apt.

May 24, 2023: Alright today I already have a lot. and it’s not even done yet. So basically this morning I took my meds at 7:30m with two eggs and a pinch of cheese. I also talked to Suheily and Maeve more about when we might get together on June 15th, and we’re thinking of inviting a bunch more old time Fogo people. So this morning I told them that I’d already asked Justin and Alex. Then I went to my 10am barre class, and Elizabeth was subbing for Debbie, like Debbie had told us last week. Elizabeth had us use gliders, which I’d never used before. Also I realized that Jodi’s neighbor Tina was there again today, and she put her mat down next to me. Then at the end of yoga, I asked both Elizabeth and Tina for a photo together, in front of the windows so decent lighting. Funny enough Elizabeth’s mom was in the class today, and Elizabeth said she was looking to date now too, when I told them about Sam a bit. I showed both Elizabeth and Tina both of the pictures I have of him too. Class ended a bit late, so at about 11am, not 10:45am. Then I ran into the gym and just did 30 leg presses leaving the weight where it was when I walked in, at 215lb, which is heavier than usual. Then I left the gym and I talked to Hannah the receptionist a little, which I hadn’t done on the way in. I also told her about Sam, and said we could even speak some Spanish together, and I asked her what to get in a poké bowl. Then I drove over to get a poké bowl, and I got the Tsumami bowl from Poké House & Tea Bar, and I added some jalapeño to the order, and also got a Thai tea. Then I took my BeReal from yesterday that I still hadn’t done yet with the bowl. Then I drove over to Open Door, and I got there pretty much exactly on time. I got there at 12:01pm, and I was scheduled for 12pm. I took my noon med the second I got there, so that was 12:01pm too. Then I went into Open Door, and I brought in what was left of my bowl and left it in the fridge there with “Anya Poké” written on it in sharpie. Tragically I left it there, but I also volunteer there tomorrow at 4:15pm so I’ll be able to pick it up. In a fridge now too, so no issues. Today at Open Door, Veronica also gave me back the cactus mug that I’d left there, and now I’ve been able to switch over the tops so the cactus mug has the not-broken top. When I started at Open Door, I realized I was doing the client support position today, which is in the back room just sitting there and getting people registered and making phone calls. I like it a fair amount, though I might still like pantry assistant more. The person back there in the room with me was a woman named Jodi, and I told her first thing that she had my aunt’s name. With her help, I also was able to get the audio on some headset and with Sean’s help I was able to get my phone to ring out loud. During that time, I made some new appointments and signed clients up on the phone too. I also made every single one of the Spanish reminder calls that were on the list, even though there wasn’t a Spanish script there today. What I did was I just read the English script and mentally translated it as I went. There were 10-12 calls to make, though two of them wouldn’t call or leave a message. I also talked to Jodi a fair amount. She said unlike a lot of the volunteers she’s actually not retired, and she works for Thompson Reuters. At that point I told her I’d been a journalism major. I also told her all about my accident and the story there, and I told her about this project and then asked her for a photo. Then what I did was I stayed til 3:15pm, which is when I took my night meds with a 9g fat shamrock cookie, and also half of a peanut butter cookie they had at Open Door that I didn’t finish because I don’t love peanut butter. I didn’t know it was peanut butter when I grabbed it. Now I gave the other half to Papa, and he told me I could get together with Sam tonight. Leaving at 4:49pm to get there at 6:30pm, like he told me. Also grabbed a little pomegranate juice from Papa’s because I tried the cranberry and it was weirdly sour. Even he tasted it, even though he doesn’t usually taste. And then I went to meet Sam! What we did was we watched a movie together, Invincible, and has a really good time. He recommended the Spanish movie La Bamba to me when I told him I loved watching No Manches Frida. Just gonna put in the BeReal that I took at 9pm, which yesterday was exactly on time. I thought it didn’t post at first, but then it did, and still leaves me two left til the next day's comes on. So that’s nice.
