June 30, 2023: Ok so meds at 6:08 this morning with an 11g fat lemon yogurt. Then I went to my dad’s house to drop off the laundry that I’d left in the back of my car the other day, and also to pick up the makeup bags that I’d left in his office before going to Fogo. Part of me was scared I’d left them at Fogo, but then I hadn’t. Then I drove my car over to Action Auto to drop it off to get my oil changed. They gave me a loaner car but I’m not gonna use it so I won’t have to pay for gas. Instead I drove back to my dad’s house and stole his car to go to yoga in St. Paul. Funny enough I took a picture of where the gas was at in the loaner car, and I think it’s gonna still be there when I bring it back since my dad’s house is like 2 blocks away. It was! Then what happened is the car place called me back, and what actually happened is they found a TON of issues with my car. First of all they found a nail in the front left tire, which is why it was deflating so much, and then they also found out that the left rear caliper was covered in break fluid, and there was a leak in the break fluid. So that’s why that weird light that’s been on for a few weeks was on that whole time. I had no idea, good thing I took my car to get the oil changed because honestly they told me that I should avoid driving my car much til I can get it fixed. They can’t get me in til next Wednesday so I’m just gonna be without a car for the next week. Fortunately my dad doesn’t have to go anywhere desperately either, so he told me that I could use his car for the week, which is also good because we’re going to Mayo Clinic on Monday, which is exactly the sort of long trip that my screwed up car could not accomplish. So now I’m just gonna have to suffer through driving my dad’s car for like a week, which does not have the ability to connect to my phone to play music or directions. I’m gonna appreciate my car so so so much when I get it back fixed. What I did after I dropped my car off at the auto place this morning was that I went to the gym to go to my barre class with Jordan. Debi was in the class again, and she asked why I’d skipped her class last week. I checked my calendar, and then I showed her the last Wednesday on my calendar, where it said, “Bilingual client support volunteer / Open Door 10:00am-12:30pm.” Then after the class, I asked to take a photo with Debi and Jordan together, and then I posted that photo on Instagram, saying that I’d had the beautiful experience of having both of my yoga instructors in one class. I know I’d been thinking of taking that photo last week when they were both there too, but I didn’t do it til this week. I got my aunt’s neighbor Tina to take the photo of us too, though tragically the photo does not include my neon green leggings. And then I went over to Papa’s house and I finally did all my laundry, including the Ecuador jersey and the tequila socks I’d worn to Fogo. I also sent in the $11 parking reimbursement form to Make A Wish. And then mom came over to do a little gardening, and I helped her a bit to weed, and then I also taught her Canasta, which she’d never played before. I felt like she understood it very well, because she actually beat me by an absolute ton. She is just so focused on being able to go out, that I’m often stuck with a bunch of cards in my hand when she goes out. Well, then Papa said that it was almost like I lost on purpose to make her willing to play again. That isn’t what happened, but we can pretend it was. And then what we did is mom ordered us some pizza. It was a good thing that I’d had my meds at 3:30pm today, because then I could eat whatever from the pizza without issues of fat count. What happened was that I’d notice that I missed the BeReal on time much earlier in the day, so I was waiting to do my only post until something nice happened. "Nice" was the pizza. We tried the Elote pizza from Pizza Lucé, and it was quite spicy and wonderful. They also ordered a large Athena pizza just to have options and maybe leftovers Oh and then after that what we did is some of Papa’s neighbors were having the loudest party I’ve ever heard in the neighborhood where I grew up. We could hear if from his house, and it was a block away. So I decided to stop by. It was just some couple and one of them was throwing the other a surprise birthday party. So I went there and talked a bit to a woman named Laurie who was the mom of a girl I went to elementary school with, and I learned her daughter is getting married soon. Oh and then speaking of the photos, I’ve got the amazing picture I took with Debi and Jordan, the review I wrote for Fogo based on my experiences last night, where I purposely mentioned every single server’s name in the review, just because I know they get rewards for being mentioned. That’s the thing I used to be amazing at, was getting customers to write reviews that mentioned my name. No one asked us, but I’m sure they still have benefits. And then I’m ending with the BeREal I took of me and mom and Papa eating the pizza. Oh and Talia actually stopped by and joined us for the pizza, and I purposely sat in a different seat than I usually did growing up, just because I wanted to joke that the brain injury had made me forget where I used to sit as a child and teen. So I actually sat in “Talia’s seat,” not “my seat.” I should have stolen one of my parents.’ That would have been more of a statement.
