Yoga with Debbie, Mississippi Market Interview and Jodi

April 26, 2023: Today I did a little bit less than yesterday. It was still alright though. Well first thing in the morning I took my meds at 6:30am with a cup and a half of oat milk. I also did yesterday’s version 2 and got my photos of the day printed. I also had an absolutely fantastic talk with a guy from Tandem named Luis. He’s from Argentina. I told him a ton, about the accident and memory issues and he asked me how I’d remember that I talked to him. I said that I’d written it down. He also recommended me the movie 50 First Dates, which talks about short term memory loss. I literally told him so so much. Then I went to my barre yoga class and Debbie was back this week. She said she was at the doctor’s last week and I said that I had asked if she was dead. When I walked into the JCC I asked how old the receptionist Hannah was, and she told me she was 23. Then I went to Papa’s and had lunch, which was some pita and guacamole and some Spanish rice, which was alright. Then I drove home to get my printouts and earrings and change, and then I drove to Mississippi Market on Selby for my interview. When I got there I asked for Rae, and the cashier thought I was talking about a different manager named Ran, so then I found Ran and it turned out that my interview was actually with both of them. So in the interview I learned that Rae is actually the deli manager, and I also got a lot of my questions answered. The pay would be $15.50 an hour, you’d park across the street in that lot, there’s no uniform, and you don’t wear non slip shoes. Rae actually said she didn’t like non slip shoes, and I commented that I was already wearing some there, just because I had them from a past job. I also told them pretty much the whole list of things that mom had wanted me to communicate, like having issues with complicated directions, needed to do things repetitively, wanting consistent hours because of therapy and volunteering. I also asked about Spanish and they didn’t say “no” as strongly as I was expecting them to. I think they said something about how it could be useful. So basically what happened is I told them about being in Florida for the week, and they said they’d be interviewing some other people too, and so they’d probably give me a call either before or during that week, and they asked if it was ok to call me on my vacation, which I said it was. I also told Rae and Ren how much I wanted to work with people around my age, and they said they thought that sounded doable in the place. I totally decided not to try to take a picture with them for obvious reasons, I just took one standing outside that has the sign in it. Then I went back home and saw Jodi very briefly. She actually suggested playing a hand of Canasta, but we saw each other and didn’t. We just talked about the interview basically and had a small cup of coffee with goat milk, though she had tea and said she’d never had a cup of coffee in her life. I also showed her the whole packet from Mayo Clinic that I’d just been mailed and we checked all of the appointment times that were listed. Then I forgot the packet at her house, which I told her after was fine because I was probably gonna throw it away after looking at it anyways. Then I decided to go home and clear out my computer and wait til around 6:30 to have my meds and dinner, again exactly 12 hours after my morning pills. Ok so I last ate at 12:41 and it’s 4:30 so I could take the meds now. Might wait til 5pm though. Alright I almost did that. I waited til 4:51pm and I had my nighttime Turalio with a Korean-style beef power bowl for 10g of fat. I also called by mom and decided to finish cleaning out my computer. Oh and totally randomly tonight I also talked to Eleanor about getting together some time soon, we said we’d have to plan something a little farther out. I did mention the time in Florida to her though.
