Yoga and Heidi pedicure and Canasta with Papa, Winnie, Dave

Updated: Jul 30, 2023

July 28, 2023: Ok so yesterday I was too tired to do this. Basically it was a fantastic day. I woke up and had my meds at 7am with the last lemon yogurt. Then I went to yoga in the morning, and didn’t take a picture with Jordan. Actually, during the end of yoga class I also got a call from a volunteer from Make A Wish, who said I should call this family. So I stepped outside and did that, and around that time, my trainer Chloe was leaving the class to change for our session. After yoga I did my training session with Chloe, and she told me that you’ll always meet your partner when you give up and stop looking, since she met her man on the “last Hinge date she was ever gonna go on.” So then, instead of a selfie with Jordan I’ve just got my feet at the end of yoga class. Then I went to the pool for like 5 minutes, during which time Heidi texted me and asked me to come over to her place to go to the pedicure. Then I went over to her house, and left my car there while she drove us to the pedicure. I got a kind of purple-ish color that was similar to the stuff she had taken off her nails. She got white. Then, after the pedicure, we got Subway. I think I got the sweet onion chicken teriyaki. Then after that Heidi and I decided to go see the Barbie movie again. It was because she’d also seen it before, and was confused like I was. So we went to do that, and it was a great experience. I think I understood it a bit better than before. And then after that, Papa actually texted me and asked if I wanted to go to a dinner he had planned at 5pm with his high school friends Dave and Winnie. I was just finishing the movie then, so we pushed it an hour later. That way I had time to get back to Heidi’s house and grab my car, and drive to his house. Then, he took me to dinner. During the drive there we talked about the Barbie movie, and I had an important realization. It’s that I feel like the fake Barbie world is literally just a metaphor for what Fogo was in my life. In the real world, consequences are real, and I thought that going to to Fogo I would get back to the “perfect life,” which is basically the Barbie world, which is fake. And then at dinner, we actually managed to make dinner be about the right amount of fat, so I had my night meds at 7pm with dinner, which was one piece of pork ribs and a potato with minimal butter. So that was a perfect time to have my night meds. One big success out of the day. And then at the end of the night, after dinner, I also had a cup of coffee, which had fat free half and half because Winnie needs fat free for other reasons. Oh and we also played a round of four-person Canasta with them. They had known the game, but not that well because it had been many years. In a weird way, the fact that Papa still has a few friends from high school also proved to me that you can keep high school friends for a long time, which is what I'd been worrying about.
