Today, first things first I had my meds at 7:45am with an ice cream bar that was really the only thing I could eat because the inside of my mouth was still cut up from falling yesterday. In the morning, first things first I worked on removing the forehead bandage. I got that done before mom came over. Once she came over, I rinsed the rest of it a ton, and she put ointment on. Today I also got a ton of pictures from the people I hung out with yesterday, and mom and I also were able to use some leftover Shout wipes I’d picked up at Fogo months ago to get the blood out of the shirt I stained yesterday with my blood. That worked shockingly well, and then we drove to Papa’s house to do laundry for the stained shirt. We did that, and we also played a few games together, including a game of group solitaire where all three of us went out! Was the first time that’s ever happened!
After that, mom drove me down to Mayo. I chose not to drive because I wanted to work on cleaning out my computer files and organizing my bookmarks, and I did a great job of that for the hour and a half drive down. Funny enough, I thought our early dinner was just gonna be with Daniel and his mom, but his dad came up from Nebraska too, and also his sister was there. Daniel is 25, like I am, and his sister is a few years older. Again, like usual, we’re both on dramatically different drugs since he has a more normal mutation than I do. We also kind of decided that the way I fell yesterday was definitely a sign of possible cancer recurrence, because my feet are not feeling everything at all. We also came to the idea that me being forced to be off my drug for a months after the TBI might have negatively impacted me, even two years later.
I also learned that Daniel currently works with his father a bit, and that’s in something to do with road work. I forgot what it was, and failed to write it down even though they said it multiple times. Had to ask my mom. This is NOT the best photo of the day, but it’s 1am and it’s what I have. A lot I didn’t include too since I’m trying to include fewer extraneous details. Maybe missed something important, lol. OH and the big news is that tonight we finally heard from Mayo that they’ve been able to schedule and MRI for me tomorrow, which will make it before the Thursday appointment with Dr. Flanagan, which is ideal. I’ve already emailed Will to cancel my gym training, and messaged Mattheas to cancel plans with him as well. He said he’d respond better when less tired, so I’m assuming that means tomorrow! Finishing this hella late too, almost 1:30am
