Alright, I specifically decided not to do one of these yesterday. Basically, I had hardly any photos from the day since I had a horrible headache when people came over, so I didn't do anything with anyone. Then I just packed with Mom a bit. Anyway, let's get to today! Mom and I had Jodi pick us up to go to the airport in the morning. Took a pic with Jodi too! Then we got on our first flight. The first flight was to Denver. We were flying with United, and I got a wheelchair to get through security because I was having a hard time walking quickly due to my back. Before the flight, we started talking a bit to this one lady, who was named Annie. I told her all about my note-taking strategies and I also gave her a photo business card. She chose the photo of Dr. Kaszuba, and said she liked it a lot. Annie is from Colorado Springs and was born in New York. She was traveling to Minnesota to see one of her kids, who lives there.
On the flight, I briefly tried to watch Gran Turismo, which I was surprised was actually in Spanish, even though the title was as well. I didn't get very far into it and also failed to fill out any more of my Story of My Life book, which I'd bought at Target a month or two ago. I'd like to work more on that book while I'm here though. On our first flight, I sat next to a guy who was reading a book on "jet engine fundamentals," and I didn't even get his name or talk to him at all.
Then, we went very very quickly to our second flight. We got off in the group for people with close connecting flights, who were allowed to leave the plane first. Then, we used another wheelchair transport to get there, which was good because we had to race across half the airport. There was some confusion with the flights for sure, because there was definitely one point in the day that we thought we'd be arriving at 9 pm, but then it turned out to be totally on time even though our first flight was over an hour late.
We got to our connecting flight literally after they had already started boarding, so it's kind of amazing we made it at all. This flight literally only had 13 rows of seats and was definitely the smallest flight I've ever been on. Near the end of the flight, we flew over a lot of interesting rock formations and landscapes, and I took a million photos of them. I've included one here, though I'm not even 100% sure which river it is.
When we got there, we met Kerry right away, and then she drove us like 45 minutes or so to their new house in Moab. We talked about some stuff we might want to do this week, like jigsaw puzzles and things, and then we also estimated the fat content of the pizzas they were gonna make tonight. We decided that I could honestly have like 3 or 4 slices, based on the fat count from the mozzarella cheese package. So we ate that, with me doing meds at 7:50 pm, not too far from my 8:33 am time this morning. Then, we started working on a puzzle that Kerry had given me as a gift, which has a picture of the Slytherin crest on it. So far, it's a very, very hard puzzle. Even with four of us working on it, I feel like it'll be hard to complete.
Tragically, I also learned today that I'd failed to pack my wireless earbuds. I thought I'd left them at my house, but Papa told me that I'd left a pair at his house. That's a pair I specifically chose not to bring because I assumed they were his, not mine.
