Town Hall Lanes with Natalie

Updated: Apr 6, 2023

April 3, 2023: Ok I promise I’m doing my photo on the day of today. Well this morning I had cheese and crackers with my morning meds at 7:38. I then logged onto my meeting with Jessica at 9:46. I also had a good meeting with Jessica where we talked about the vocational testing stuff. I was going to do the meeting in my room because I didn’t wanna plug my charger into the living room but then I changed my mind and did it in the living room. I also learned during the meeting that Jessica studied French, not Spanish. Also told her all about my idea to look for a part time job as a translator. I told her about contacting Ignasi’s dad and some of the contacts that came out of that. Honestly there are a lot. She also suggested looking at reading centers for English as a second language at community centers. I also showed her my resume that I’ve updated a bit online. She also said that she only works half time and still gets benefits, because I was talking about how badly I need benefits. I also told her how I’ve been driving to places like Open Door. I also showed her my week calendar on the white board and said that when I was making my month calendar I found a conflict and sorted it out. She also said that she feels like Lunds helped me make the transition away from Fogo. Then what I did was I got gas and then had a call with someone at Methodist Church about volunteering as a translator. It’s very very close to me, which is why Jodi suggested it. So today I talked to Louise about the opportunity. She said that they don’t work by appointments and have like 80% Spanish-speaking clients. We decided that my first day there will be the 11th. I also told her about my TBI, and the fact that I left my previous job and am looking for things to fill my time. Today after this call I actually had my meds at 3:20 because I wanted to be able to eat anything I wanted tonight with Natalie. I had it with a peanut butter bar with 11g fat. I don’t like peanut butter. I just put up with it because I kinda had to. So that meant by doing the two hour thing I was good to eat anything by 5:20. Good because I met up with Natalie a tiny bit after 6pm at Town Hall Lanes. We had considered Casa Maria when the Sunrise place was closed on Mondays, but decided to go to Town Hall because it was cheaper. What we did was we split a pizza together. I actually recommended the Thai Chicken Pizza, and she’s trying to be kinda gluten free so we spent an extra 2$ for the gluten free crust. Learned when we ordered it that she doesn’t have celiac or anything, it’s just that she thought it might be gluten that was making her sick or somehting. I also had a Sex on the Beach and she had a beer that wasn’t a sour, but I tried it and it kind of tasted sour. Mentioned that too. I like sours. Mine was good too though, and she liked it as well. Ah well I basically didn’t write anything from most of our conversation but it was amazing. I feel like I told her pretty much everything. Even about how I wrote everything down and some people at Fogo and habits and stuff. She also commented on the fact that she liked my neon green pants, and I mentioned that my mom hadn’t wanted me to wear them. Well she also talked about how she had her boyfriend, named David, and he wasn’t there tonight. I did ask her how to find a boyfriend and she suggested Hinge and Bumble, and said they might be better than Tinder for finding someone to date. Also learned she’s been to Israel twice, including once for birthright since she’s Jewish and all. She also knew about the JCC that I go to because of that. She also suggested finding roommates on Facebook, and said she got kinda lucky with her roommates. Natalie is also a Gryffindor, since I said I was a Slytherin when I was talking about my snake tattoo. We also talked about jobs a bit and she suggested working at the place she works, which is like advertising stuff. I think it doesn’t sound active enough for me, plus she works from home, which she said she enjoys, but I personally don’t think I would. She did also suggest Upwork for finding some translation stuff, and said her boyfriend did it for a while as a Russian translator. I also told her about volunteering all the time and said while I’m on disability I’m looking for some more stuff to do. She also said that it would be cool if me, her and Justin tried to go out to Reign some time, the club we were trying to go to the night I got run over. She’s actually never been there, though I think I have before. Sounds kinda like something interesting to explore. Oh and also Natalie looked through a TON of my photos of the day. Just remembered that randomly. She commented on a bunch of the ones from Fogo and I even showed her some of my early trash photos, and mentioned that this project came from my therapist. Oh my God I'm even publishing this before midnight.
