Therapy with Jessica, Poké with Papa, Photos with Deb

June 19, 2023: Well dear God I stupidly didn’t work on this yesterday at all. Didn’t even put the photos in, even though I had the coolest photos ever. Yesterday was interesting. Basically in the morning I ate my breakfast with Papa at like 7 or 8, and then drove down to Mayo. I actually had a session in person with Jessica, which was cool. Then after that I had my PET scan, which was the thing I couldn’t eat any carbs for for like 10 hours or something. At any rate, I hadn’t eaten any carbs since before 5pm the night before. I also had no caffeine that day or pretty much anything enjoyable. I know I did PET scans before, but I don’t remember them being this hard. Then as soon as the PET scan was over, I ate with Papa and I purposely had pretty much everything I’d been avoiding before. I had a tuna lover poké bowl, which was nice and spicy, and I also had a Caribou drink that i really loved. I asked the barista, whose name I remember as Anna, for what drinks were really highly caffeinated, and she said I could add an extra shot to anything. So I did that, and got the... idk maybe the turtle mocha, I know I have it written down, but I’m trying to write this thing with no notes the next day. After that we drove home, and got gas obviously because of the Mayo Clinic drive. Papa had to go to a baseball game at night, and I went home and got together some of my photos for my meeting with Deb at like 6:30pm. I also succeeded, before the meeting, in having my meds exactly 12 hours apart from the morning ones, at 5:30pm. I had it with yogurt, which I could’t have in the morning because of the carbs count. In the morning I’d had my meds with a hunk of salmon that Papa had given me the day before, at 5:30am. So then I went to meet up with Deb. She actually walked out to show me a street parking spot too, and then I went into her apartment. With Deb we sorted out the photos that’ll be in my hypothetical theater page on my website, and also looked at a bunch of the photos I’d downloaded. She also gave me some pointers on stuff to print out for when I order new business cards some time soon, and told me to relabel my portfolio as “documentary” and to take out the photos of basketball games, since I’m not really trying to shoot more sports now. So the meeting with Deb was very, very useful. I also brought my sparkling apple Izze to Deb’s, which I hadn’t drank at the poke place with Papa because I got my really good coffee. Honestly I really, really liked the coffee I got, and it might be my new Caribou choice in the future now, even without the extra shot of espresso. Ok, I’m gonna actually look at my notes now, even though I don’t have that many. Basically when I walked into the PET scan, a girl named Erika checked me in and she was a nuclear medicine technologist. I had to wait 45 minutes before the PET scan while the radioactive stuff got into me, and I just played some dumb Spanish phone games then. Looks like I actually don’t have what I wrote down for my drink, but I know it had caramel in it so I just looked at a menu and it might have been the caramel espresso shaker. Oh and also when I was walking out of the PET scan it was with a guy who was from California, and I told him I went t to ASU when he commented on my U of M socks. So yeah, I also told Deb all about my photo of the day project, and also my new idea to take a selfie every day, which she really liked. Oh and I just found it written on the wrong page, it was the mint condition mocha, so no caramel like I thought I’d remembered. Oh well, now I know.
