Here we go... I’ll jump straight into my Spanish meetup today. Today, a girl at the group I attend told me that she’d looked at my blog to which I’d given her the business card two weeks ago, at the last one of those meetups that I had attended. Today at the meetup, I initially talked a lot to one guy named Carlos who I knew from the past, and he told me a bit about his opinions on finding happiness. For him, a lot of it seems to be based on some praying. That’s personally not my perspective, but it's interesting to hear about. He also taught me how to say the number $1450 in Spanish, which is a number that I often have to say when talking about disability.
The other notable thing was that the guy who’d brought up Leo to me the other week... actually brought Leo with him today. I ended up grabbing a photo with him, and also this Venezuelan guy named Ronaldo who we were talking to. Ronaldo came with his girlfriend today, who is also from Maracaibo in Venezuela. The other guy, whose name I forget now, literally said that he knew Leo from going to Fogo so frequently, which is random as hell.
I also talked a bit to a girl named Molly, who had an ex-boyfriend from Spain, and said she wants to go back there soon to teach in an immersion school. The other interesting thing was that I talked to one of the guys who had added me to the “amigos de hablar y caminar” group, and found out from him who had created it in the first place. That’s a group that I’d like to explore attending some more of the activities they do, eventually.
Ok... I’ll back up now. Today I first of all attended a therapy session with Jessica, which fortunately was not insanely early today. I did my meds at 8:27 am with some avocado toast and then talked to her. Then I also had some important conversations with Papa where we actually decided I was going to be not resigning my lease and moving in here for a bit. Frankly, I’d already talked about some of that stuff with Jessica, and she recommended that I find the Barbie movie in Spanish, and talk to Papa about what I want to “need to do alone.” Frankly, I’d like to start managing the food I eat with the meds a bit more independently.
