SNAP, Papa + Canasta, Open Door with Maureen, Liam’s + curry

April 27, 2023: Meds at 6:50am with Special K and oat milk, for about 10g fat. I re-read my version 2s, and then sent all my photos to Whitney. I also remembered the Luis had emailed me about food photos he wanted for his company yesterday. After Whitney I went over to Papa’s house and had grilled cheese and soup. Then I drove over to Open Door to attend a training session on SNAP benefits with a lady from Second Harvest Heartland named Emily. She’s the one on the part of the far left photo here. The training honestly made me think about whether I’d be eligible, since the cutoff for one person to enroll is is earning $2,265 a month including disability, so I’m under that now. Honestly I think I’ll probably go over when I’m working, which is fine because I’m fine for food now. Shortly before I left there Liam texted me and asked me to come over to celebrate the year anniversary of when he and Lily bought their house, which is funny because during the day I was literally feeling like I wouldn’t even know what to take photos of. That’s actually why I’d taken that photo with Papa playing Canasta, which was also good. Then Mom messaged me while I was at Open Door and asked me to send her a photo to show to Dr. Abeykoon of what I was doing, so that’s why I took the photo with Maureen. I think mom thought I was at Liam’s already, and I wasn’t. Funny enough I probably would have taken the picture with Maureen anyways just because I told her a ton about that cancer medication and what I have to do with eating around the medication times. Well while I was at Open Door I did end up translating at least three times for families, which was nice. There were also two pantry assistants named Caroline and Hannah, and I told Caroline the pantry assistant the two of them had the names of two of my best friends. I also left 15 minutes early to get to Liam’s, which was fine because there were no more Spanish speaking clients coming in, and I even told Sean I was going and said goodbye. Funny enough at Liam’s I thought I might have a drink, and Papa had told me that if I had a drink I had to wait an hour after a drink before driving home, and then I didn’t actually end up having any. Also Alex was invited and he never came. So it’s funny, it was definitely less of a party than I was expecting it to be, but it was still very nice. I even tried the curry that Lily had made along with a little rice, so it was good I’d taken my meds at 4:25pm that night, when I was at Papa’s with a 15g fat Lamb Vindaloo. Oh and then at night I also got gas, which I had to pay inside for, and I guessed the amount perfectly. I guessed $25, and it literally filled up my about three quarters of a tank perfectly.
