March 23, 2023: Damn it I didn’t write my photo of the day yesterday. Funny because I had literally put on my Any.Do to do both versions on the day of, and then I didn’t do either version. So yesterday was cool. First thing in the morning I was texting Sheldon, who works at Fogo, and I said that I probably couldn’t do anything that day because I had training at 10am and then a 2pm meeting then seeing friends at 7:45pm. Then he invited me over to watch movies and stuff just before training. It worked because he lives like 12 minutes from my gym in St. Paul. I actually already had his address from before the accident too, just in my message history with him. God today I’m definitely gonna run out of space, I have so much to say. I literally have 27 pages of notes. Well for my morning meds I had two eggs and I had my meds at 5:04am so I could take the night ones earlier in the day. I also did yesterday’s version 2 this morning. I was texting Sheldon and learned that lbs can mean “laughing but serious,” though I told him I was reading it as pounds. I got to his house by 7:07am. We started watching Bad Trip, and then changed to I Think You Should Leave, which was on Netflix. He did also remember that I’d taken a photo of the day with him once at Fogo, on a day with no other hostesses. Ah well, when I was talking about losing jobs Sheldon actually said that he once lost his favorite job too, which was at Kincaid’s. He actually decided to come back from Fogo after he left that job around the end of December 2022. Ah well I also told him that I’d hung out with Mattheas recently too, and he told me his cats are named Nani and Kirby, and he’s had them for 3 and 6 years. He did remember coming to the bonfire that I had with Fogo people before the accident, and said he’d never been to the house I shared with Hannah though. I did randomly remember his house from some party thing that we had there once, and I even recognized the spot where I took a picture of Alex talking to Leo during the party, which I also told Sheldon about. I also asked about his earrings, which are actually not earrings, and he is gonna replace them with an industrial again once it heals a bit more. The other cool thing that happened was I told him that my industrial has been with me through the accident. I parked on the street in front of the liquor store on the ground floor of his apartment and he said they don’t give tickets before 10am so I was fine. Then I had training with Will at 10am, which I got to like 2 minutes late, which was fine. I also told Will a ton. Will also told me that he had the woman named Suzi before me and that she told him that she’d talked to me in yoga too. Learned how to spell her name too, so that’s cool. I also told Will that Sheldon had said he used to work at the Hewing hotel restaurant and that he thinks it’s easier than Fogo as a server. Then after training I decided to go home and organize my stuff, and grab my noon antidepressant, which I’d left at home. For lunch I had three of Hannah’s waffles that we had frozen, with blackberry jam. Then I went to the meeting with TEAM. It was nice, I showed up a few minutes early which was good because the map didn’t list where it was in the building. I got to the office by 1:48, and they offered me hot chocolate and coffee, and I decided to combine them. Nancy, the worker, was impressed and called me smart for thinking of doing that. I think she’ll do that there now too. In the meeting, Kate said that they offer a bunch of different services, like counseling, care coordination, group meetings, legal counsel and financial analysis. For groups they said there might even be one that focuses on TBI, which I found really interesting and I would definitely like to try if it exists. I asked about that at the very end when I was saying goodbye too, just brought it up again. To set up my test I have to talk to HR, so that’s what I have to do today, is call some time before 3pm. I’ll do that now actually. Ok done, back to the notes. I noted that I last ate at 1:38 for the night meds. I talked to Kate a ton and liked her quite a bit, I even told her about getting fired from Valleyfair once, since I was wearing my Valleyfair jacket. When I went home I typed up some notes, and looked at Papa’s house for another small hairbrush for my gym bag, and couldn’t find one. Mine just kind of has some bristles breaking off. The other thing I did at Papa’s was I deleted a bunch of photos from my computer, including the Literacy MN photos, Eurydice, and Dominic senior photos, just to clear off space so I could back up my phone, which I also did. I had my meds at 5pm, which works because I had my morning meds so early. A bit after 6pm I had a small piece of cake. I was still quite hungry by the time we got to the restaurant though. What happened was Papa drove me and Caroline, Ruby and Hannah all drove together to the restaurant, which was an Argentinian restaurant called Martina. I wore a yellow sweater I found in Talia’s piles. When I got there I realized it was a little bit pricey, which was fine. I decided to have Hannah pay for mine and just Venmo her, so I can use the money that Kaky gave me on Venmo, the $100. I did finish the $100 that Kaky gave me since I’d used a bit of it the other day too, and then used a bit more just from my own Venmo. Our server at the restaurant was named Erin, and we talked about how weird it is as a server when customers constantly say your name, and I joked that I should do that to Erin. For the appetizer, we had beef tartare and charred cucumbers, and then for the actual food I got I ordered some potato gnocchi. For Hannah’s birthday, Caroline gave Hannah a book on mending from Barnes and Noble, and I was reminded that I hadn’t bought Hannah a present yet. She also forgot to bring my present too, which she has but hasn’t brought the last few times we’ve hung out. For drinks I had a nonalcoholic masala chai and I asked for whatever alcohol added that the bartender recommended. It ended up being an aged rum blend. I also had the Bauhaus guavatron, which was actually a sour, which I like a lot. Caroline was driving them all home so she only had one drink. Ruby and Hannah actually had three, which I thought might be a bit pricey so I didn’t. Caroline also said that Lydia had found her new roommate on Craigslist, and then interviewed in person. So we talked about how something like that might be an option for me at some point. We said that interviewing in person would lead to #noscam #nocatfish. For dessert we had the panqueque, which was dulce de leche, bananas and crushed caramel, and because it was for Hannah’s birthday we also got raspberry sorbet added to it. Ruby also told me that the drink that I had in that photo I had from before the accident when I went to Nolo’s was probably a cosmo. I also learned that they all pronounce crepes as crehps not craypes. Also learned that Hannah’s book club with rugby people is reading The Wind-Up Bird Chronicle. Ruby also told me that I write everything down and Hannah said that I’m her secretary.
