Selfie, Shopping w/ madre, Trivia with Alex, Liam, Lily, bonfire w/Jorge

July 8, 2023: Doing this before trivia now. Alright so today I randomly woke up at 4:30am and realized I hadn’t taken the shower yesterday, so I did it then, before my meds. Then I took my meds at 5am, and I was weirdly a bit more hungry than usual, so I had them with a bagel with cream cheese and smoked salmon and capers. Then I ate a little raisin bran cereal, since it was past 7am, and I actually walked over to Nokomis library to get the next mystery book for book club, but it wasn’t quite open yet at like 8:45, so I walked back home and swiffered the floor and changed my shirt, because the tequila shirt I was going to wear had a weird stain on it from being washed with a name tag. I also looked at my Make A Wish information for the Spanish volunteering I have scheduled on July 31st, and emailed Teresa a few questions. At that point, it was past 9, so I walked back to Nokomis and picked up the next book, The Guest List by Lucy Foley. The guy at the front counter asked me if it was a book club book, and told me the due date didn’t matter, and I could be late returning it. This morning I also scheduled a potential Hinge video date on Monday. Then mom came over, and we got a lot done. We went to Trader Joe’s and bought all the alcohol she needs for the cabin. The lady at the front desk said they didn’t have sour beers, but then we found some. We also got some more frozen meals, including the mac&cheese I really liked, and a couple snacks for the cabin too. Now it’s 5:17pm and my alarm just rang for “get ready to maybe go to trivia,” so I’ll do that. Honestly what happened after mom was here, was I decided just to nap for the rest of the day, becauses I was oddly tired from getting up at 4:30. She told me that was too early, and I agree. At least I managed to take my night meds at 4pm, so I’ll be good to eat and drink at trivia by 6pm. Ah well, I also had gotten my BeReal I missed yesterday of mom about to check out with groceries, so that’s in here now too. Ok next day now. The most important thing that happened yesterday was I got my BeReal perfectly on time even though I didn’t get a notification. It was just a pic of Liam and Alex at the trivia table, with Alex playing Pokemon Go at 6:56pm. Liam likes to play that with Lily too. I’d put that in here, but I want to have space for the extra one I was allowed to take because it was on time. So basicallly at trivia I got a flight so I could try different beers without drinking too much. I got the Aunti M’s Irish Red Ale, on recommendation of the bartender, Tart Cherry Sour, Ya Sure Hard Kool Aid that was strawberry lemonade flavored, and the Belgian Saison. Later on in the night they actually changed the flavor of the Ya Sure to tropical punch, and I tried that one and liked it better. The numbers were 5 6 7 8 on the tap list. Then there was a food truck there tonight, and funny enough Liam didn’t have his wallet since he came back from somewhere, so I bought both of our foods. I got the fried egg w/ ham and cheese, which I also liked a different week, and Liam got the chicken tenders and fries. Was about $25, which is fine considering all the times he’s paid for me. At trivia there was literally one question I helped with. It was asking for a Mexican soft drink, and they said it was “little jar” in Spanish, and I knew that was Jarritos. When we took our photo, the guy MJ who we’ve met a different week too, took it for us. He joked that MJ doesn’t stand for Michael Jordan. Honestly I kind of set up the bonfire last night. What I did was I walked over to Jon’s table, and asked when he’d be doing another one. He said definitely next week, and tonight if people would come. I told him I’m tragically out of town next week, and I got confirmed with Liam he’d go yesterday. Then I gave Jon a thumbs up, for yes we’ll come. And then they decided to do a bonfire last night. I also met the geography guy from Jon’s team. It was a guy named Josh, and I told him how the one geography question I knew the other day as asking what country Chimborazo was in. He guessed Bolivia, and I told him that no, it was Ecuador. A guy who was working at the food truck, Signature on Wheels, also greeted me in Spanish because I’d been wearing the Spanish pin last week. Then I tried to order in Spanish but he didn’t speak it. Jorge did though! Basically we went over to Jon’s house for the bonfire and then randomly this couple who also goes to trivia, Jorge and a girl who might be named Marissa, came by later too. I didn’t have a long in-depth conversation with Jorge in Spansih, but we said a few words to each other. And then the bonfire finished and I went back to Liam’s house to sleep in his guest bedroom. Alex didn’t spend the night tonight, just me!
