May 17, 2023: Starting this quite early in the day again. Haven’t shot photos at Theatre in the Round yet, but I will. So basically this morning first thing I did was randomly wake up at 3:31am, and went back to sleep. I also did part of yesterday’s photo, and had to play a sound on my computer to find it. Then I finished yesterday’s photo and I posted it and printed it. I texted Sam too, and he said he was still at work, and I was up early. Then I did actually take my meds at 5:03am, though I forgot to have food with it for like 10 or 15 minutes. Then I remembered to eat just when I felt a bit hungry, and I had some cheese and crackers with the meds a few minutes late. I also brought a receipt in from my car and put it in my new memories folder. I also found the “yo hablo español” pin either in my purse or my fanny pack. Then Sam and I actually video chatted again. I asked him what exactly he does in his job, and he said he’s a “drops guy” and operates a forklift in a warehouse. He said that he’d clocked out at 6:05am today and had worked a 14 hour shift overnight. He also said he sometimes drives around on a stand up forklift, and he even sent me a 3 second video of him in a forklift. I also told Sam how I’d recently deleted Tinder and “you made me happy that I downloaded it again,” and he told me that I just made his day saying that. Oh and today I also told him all about the photo of the day project for the first time. I explained the initial reason for it, and said that it’s literally grown into something I absolutely love and it gets me to talk to people a ton and connect with them. So Sam also had to be at some appointment at 8am, so we didn’t talk for super long, and I also had to leave to go drive my dad to the airport. I decided to go over to Papa’s house a few minutes early just so I could check if I’d left any heels upstairs. I went over a little bit early, and also ate some leftover fried rice, since it was more than two hours after the meds and I was a bit hungry. Turns out I hadn’t left any heels there. It’s a total mystery where all my heels from high school went, even my mock trial heels. Then when I was dropping Papa off, he was literally walking inside when I ran out and said that I forgot to take a photo with him. So I did that, capturing some of what I did this morning. Then I went straight from there to the gym, where first of all I talked to the receptionist Hannah some more. I told her all about the sunburn and the amazing Florida trip, and she said she was jealous. I told her also that I got extremely badly sunburned, and only recovered enough to go into the ocean for one day. Then after 10am I also ran back to my car to get my watch that I’d left there, which made me a couple minutes late for the yoga class. Debbie said it was fine though, said something like “we’re ready whenever you get here,” though I don’t remember exactly what it was. It was a nice yoga class, and at the end I was trying to take a photo with Debbie, but then I saw my aunt’s neighbor Tina there, and I hadn’t known she was in the same class. So I took a photo with her instead, and told Debbie I’d done that too. I mean, Debbie was also wearing green, so I kinda missed out on that photo, since I have green leggings too, but at least you can see my leggings in the photo with Tina. Tina said she usually goes to a different yoga class but it was often too busy, so she came to this one. Then after yoga, I went straight into the gym and I did Will’s workout #1 and the “maybe” section, not touching workout #2. While I was working out I saw the old guy who usually wears the Brazil shirt who I talked to the other day. He said his name is Bernie and he was actually wearing an Aruba shirt today, and I guessed that Aruba was in Oceania, when it was actually in the Caribbean. I also told him that I love capitals and he quizzed me on the capital of Croatia. I didn’t know it, but it does make me think that I should work on capitals a bit tonight again. I guessed Vaduz for Croatia and it wasn’t. Don’t even remember what he said it was but I don’t think it was the capital listed on JetPunk because I’d never heard it before. Also, the desk receptionist told me about the 50$ 2-day swim clinic that’s coming up soon, and I asked her some questions. Then I went down to the pool, and tragically the hot tub was closed for cleaning. So I just sat in the side of the kids pool for a second and then took a nice long shower, washing my hair too. Then I drove straight to Papa’s house so I could steal some of his food. The thing I did was I had a Lamb Vindaloo and I purposely ate it in a way that wouldn’t have meshed with my meds, since I was just eating lunch and not doing my meds then. I had a full piece of naan and yogurt, and a full serving of the 16g fat lamb. I also noted that I last ate at 1pm, or 1:01pm because mom came back and gave me a bite of something she made. So what mom and I did is we sorted through a ton of the clothes that Talia and I had left there, and I found like 5-6 items I wanted to keep, and also a bunch of bras that don’t fit Talia but do fit me. Mom and I also looked for heels and couldn’t find them either. At that point it was just about time for my 3pm meeting with Dr. Go, my cancer doctor who’s replacing Dr. Abeykoon for a while. During that call I succeeded in asking about the possibility of ever going off the drug, just so insurance wouldn’t be such a big deal. Dr. Go said that he’d have to image me soon and evaluate some more, and he also suggested some PET scans and MRIs in like a month. Then I drove back home. I decided when I was near my place to also stop into the Minnehaha food shelf again and check for my green cactus mug, and I did and I found it!!!!! Literally the guy let me in and I found it in a side room that I don’t remember entering so I’m not sure how it ended up there. Thank God I found it though. Now I’ve just gotta get the non-broken top back from the mug Victoria found at Open Door. No freaking space left, and I’ve still gotta do the photo shoot. Done, oh wow the play was amazing. It was about a girl with cancer going through treatment, and I even told Larisa at the end that that girl had it way worse than me. But honestly I also found the play really interesting, and have already messaged Caroline about her maybe going to see it. I learned it costs $20 for students, including med students. I asked, around when Larisa was walking me back to my car, which I have a photo of here too. Not putting this in the pdf version because there's no space, but at home I watched Abstract: Art of Design on Netflix and fell asleep.
