Papa with Chipotle and Spanish meet up

August 14, 2023: Today I did my morning medication at 6:57am with a yogurt, and then I did my therapy session with Jessica. After that, I drove Papa to Chipotle and got a chile al pastor bowl. Then we moved most of my stuff back to my apartment from his house. He had to come over to help carry stuff, and I got my laundry put away and everything organized. Then, I had my medication at 5pm so I’d be able to eat at the meetup if there was food. There was not food, and I should have just waited another hour or two until I reached the same time I took it in the morning. I took my meds with a piece of chicken tender from my dad’s house for 11g of fat. At the meetup, it was great to speak Spanish, as always. I also got two girls’ contact information, Kate and Carolina. Kate might reach out when they have a different group set up at a brewery. It’s called Break the Bubble. Everyone was cool with me not planning on drinking at a meetup like that. Carolina also talked to me about maybe getting the chance to go to some salsa dancing thing as a group. Really, I do feel like this group would have the potential to help me make friends. I also messaged an American named Ben a bit, and he was very understanding about me being a bit depressed. I admit that I took the photo of people’s feet when I wasn't sure if I’d be able to get a photo, but then I was able to at the very end. I just got one of my extra BeReals then, since I’d gotten my first one exactly on time during my meeting with Jessica in the morning.

I’m continuing my grateful diary from the mood disorders unit. Today, they are:

  1. The chicken al pastor tacos were good, even though I’d never heard of them before.

  2. I still speak Spanish.

  3. The girls named Kate and Carolina have responded to me on WhatsApp.
