Papa making food with me

March 21, 2023: Well today I got a lot done. The most important thing is that I designed the first 4 pages of my yearbook. Starting with my notes, I slept with the lights on last night and my phone died and I had to charge it in the morning. I also finished my photo from yesterday and took my meds at 8am with a coconut bar from Jodi, 10g fat I think. This morning I also had leftover cranberry juice and La Croix, which Hannah had recommended. Then I drove into open Door and answered their Spanish voicemails and one English. Then I also did a ton of translating for a woman named Yeni and her husband. I got them all set up and checked in and actually translated a ton for the guest services person Rebecca. Rebecca said it was nice to meet and work with me. Someone also told me that Tuesday and Thursday evenings they need a ton of help with Spanish. I also talked to Nancy and told her how I learned Spanish. I was grateful to be wearing my Valleyfair jacket, because it helps with the explanation. Then I drove home and changed my pants and then drove over to Papa’s, where we did my laundry and made some Chinese-y rice, which is in this photo. I also put a Dakota County Library sticker from Open Door on my car. And then I also noted we put noodles in the rice, which I don’t remember ever doing before. He said that he thought I’d had it before though. Also said that when we were young we just ate whatever he gave us, so who knows. We also had dried seaweed and seaweed flakes on the rice, which made it quite good. We also planned out how I’d set up my Yearbook a bit. Well before we had dinner I had my night meds at 6pm with one of Jodi’s keto bars so then I could eat dinner by 7pm. I really do believe it’s better to do it that way, because otherwise I’ll end up taking the meds at like midnight or something and won’t be able to eat when I’m hungry. So what we did do was a bit after 7pm, we got Chipotle. I had a carnitas burrito with queso blanco, and guacamole, which was good. So what I did around that time was I ate dinner and worked on the first six pages of my yearbook. I even sent one page to Talia and Hannah. It was the one with just the picture of me and Talia right before the accident, and I realized when I was putting it together that she had come and brought me my keys after midnight. So what I did was I texted her and thanked her for doing that, since I had known she had done that but hadn’t known it was after midnight. So that’s one accomplishment born out of this project already.
