Open Door with Wendy and Liam with Daisy and Lo Mein

March 31, 2023: Today was interesting. Well this morning I took my morning meds at 6:16am with two cheese and Ritz crackers. It added up to like 10-15 grams of fat. The day isn’t even over yet I just wanted to write what I have. Well at Open Door, Wendy liked my fanny pack and mug and I told her I got the fanny pack at Indeed. I had a hard time turning on the computer and had to ask Owen how to turn it on. I got logged on at 8:35 and had a Spanish intake to do on the phone. So I called the guy and he didn’t pick up twice actually. So I just told Owen and we said I did what I could. I also added the anyatbirecovery@gmail.com email to my phone. I did manage to get logged into Vic Net on my phone so I can see my Open Door schedule on my phone. I tried to get the access on my phone to edit the Wix site on my phone too but couldn’t yet. So that’s a future goal. I also had a coffee and there was no cream in the fridge so I just added some sugar. I also had a blueberry muffin. I had to call people to tell them to come in earlier today and I got one person who only spoke Spanish, which I also told Wendy about. I also randomly got 1000 steps even with the confetti today just walking around Open Door. I also texted Liam and Hannah a lot of details while I was there. Today I also got a button that says “yo hablo español,” which is in my photo with Wendy. I also asked the volunteer or worker Merguedy “¿de donde eres?” and learned she’s from Costa Rica. I stayed a bit later to organize some food, and when I was leaving at around 12:52, Wendy actually gave me bunches of extra flowers. I said I’d take an extra to give to a friend. I also talked to Wendy and Merguedy a lot, which is about when I took the photo with Wendy, and told her about this project. We also talked a little bit about online dating and I said I did it, and Wendy said she only did it once and actually dated the guy for a few months. I also told her that my sister and her girlfriend had met on Tinder and they just moved in together and have two cats now. Wendy also gave me a slice of deep dish sausage pizza, so that was my lunch. I last ate at 12:45. Liam also said he’s free around 4pm so that solved my problem of what to do today. What I did after Open Door was I went home then went to the gym. At the gym I did Will’s whole workout, all three of the sets he gave me. Then I went to the hot tub and I actually called Caroline in the hot tub and told her a lot. Caroline also suggested that I look at medical translation jobs, so that’s an idea for me. I didn’t shower after the hot tub because I’d showered yesterday and I brushed my hair at the gym too. I didn’t have any of Jodi’s bars with me so I waited til I got home to take my meds, when I had them at 3:45pm with the last of Jodi’s 10mg fat bars. I also texted her and asked her for more. Now it’s 4:13pm and Liam texted me that he’s on his way to the place they’re meeting and sent me the address. It’s 10 minutes away, which I told him. Also put on my smaller hoop earrings before going over, not the ones that I had worn at Fogo a lot. So then I drove over to someone from Liam’s church’s house where he was watching their dog, Daisy, a mutt. At first they were watching Station 19, which they said that I might like since I liked Law & Order SVU. The people whose house they were at had Hulu with no ads. Oh today I also told Liam that I had been feeling pretty jealous of him and my therapist told me not to let that overwhelm me or ruin our friendship. Well at whoever it was’s house we also watched a little bit of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. I also told Liam that I had my meds over an hour ago so could eat. Actually my alarm had rang on the way over. Oh I also succeeded in asking Liam about job options, and told him that Caroline had suggested something to do with translation, like medical translation. Then we ate dinner, which we actually drove to get in Liam’s Kia Soul. It was from a Chinese place that I don’t know the name of. I got some shrimp lo mein I think. I took a picture that I called my photo of the day with Liam and the lo mein and Daisy the mutt. Alex said he didn’t wanna be in it, which was fine. Oh and then Mattie and Ezra came over too. We also watched a little Wakanda Forever with Alex, Liam, Mattie and Ezra. I also talked to Mattie about maybe getting together some time and maybe going to a sauna together. That sounds fun. Oh and I did succeed in talking to Liam about job options. He suggested working at a grocery store around me, since I did tell him that ultimately I want to get off disability but I’m “not ready for it yet.” Ah well, then I decided to leave and Liam told me to text him when I got home in 15 minutes. I did, though I texted Mom and Papa first. Tragically I realized when I got home I left my coffee mug at Liam’s church person’s place. So I texted him that that means that tragically I have to see him again.
