Open Door with Vicki and Vina with Bill and Papa

March 24, 2023: Well damn it I’m doing my photo of the day on the day of today. Never mind I didn’t. I just got the photos in here and was going to. But then we watched some more How I Met Your Mother at Jodi’s house and I ended up accidentally falling asleep on the couch. Well, on this morning I had my meds at 5:14 with one of Jodi’s buddha bars and a low fat yogurt. Before I left for Open Door I also had the last two waffles that Hannah had frozen. I worked with Vicki as greeter this morning, and I learned that she’s retired as of 2019 and used to work in finding old people places to live and be independent. I told her that my grandfather is currently in some kind of facility, and asked about him. She said that we should look up the services that exist in Illinois because Minnesota is the only state to have the program that she worked with. I also told Vicki that that day was the first day that I worked as greeter that I felt like I actually fully understood what I was doing. She said that I “certainly seemed on top of it today.” I also spoke a little Spanish. There was one group that came in that needed translation and their name was Anaya, and I told them “casi es mi nombre.” Speaking of my name, another woman saw my name tag and asked if I spoke Russian because it’s a Russian name. I told her I only speak Spanish. Oh and I also made like three Spanish reminder calls for the client services room. Also learned that for saying the time if it’s 1pm you say “a la una” not “las,” just from Sean. Ah well, Vicki also suggested a Cuban restaurant named Guavas and I even texted Hannah and asked if she’d been there, and then I learned that we had actually been there together already. After I texted Hannah I found my photo of the day and figured out what we ordered. Ah well I didn’t really have lunch that day, I just had snacks at Open Door like popcorn and stuff and a salted caramel snack cake, but I know I had nothing after I took my noon meds, so I was good to have my night meds by 4pm with a 9g fat cookie that I had gotten at Open Door the other day. I admit that I kind of forgot that I had to have it with food at first and didn’t eat anything for like half an hour afterward. Jodi then told me that Bill would be home by 5, and I went over at 5:30 and he wasn’t there yet. So instead I went over to Papa’s and then Jodi called and said Bill was home and we decided to go out to a Vietnamese place called Vina with Bill. At Vina I got the curry shrimp combo, and because it was a combo it came with an egg roll, soup, wontons, which was kind of the best part. Papa got the singapore fried noodles and Bill got the chicken pho. Funny enough I just desperately didn’t want to get soup, but he liked it. Then we walked over to Patina right before it closed at 8pm and I got Hannah’s birthday present, and then I dropped Papa off at home and went over to Bill’s with him. Then around 9pm Jodi came home and we watched some How I Met Your Mother on Alex’s Hulu. We were thinking about watching something else too but it didn’t really happen. Then I randomly fell asleep on the couch, which I wasn’t intending on.
