Open Door with Maureen, leftover Poké and Sam

May 25, 2023: Alright so today I woke up a bit earlier but I took my medicine at 7:30am. I just did it with a granola bar. Then the first thing I had to get done was my appointment with Dr. Esterov. During the meeting he actually suggested trialing an off-period on one of my medications that he prescribed. I also randomly showed him the beginning of my photo of the day project, when I was doing pictures of trash every day, and also showed him yesterday’s to show how much better it’s gotten. Then I had a Whitney appointment, after which I took my BeReal exactly on time in my bedroom and messaged Liza from high school a bit. Then I decided to organize my stuff for the night. I think I’m gonna go over to Sam’s again, since he invited me. Funny enough I also called Papa today and he was checking to make sure I wasn’t like inviting myself over and bothering him. That’s not true at all, and he even confirmed it. Papa and I also talked a bit about the really good conversations Sam and I had had yesterday. Hoping to maybe have more of them. We’ll see. Then after figuring all that out, I went to Open Door for my 4:15pm shift. Funny enough I was a little bit hungry when I got there and I was hoping there was food. Then there wasn’t, but I realized I’d forgotten the last half of my poké bowl there the day before yesterday. So frankly, I joked that it was almost like I forgot it there on purpose because I knew I’d be hungry and wanna east something. I finished the poké bowl and some cheddar cheese crackers they had there at 4:20pm, so I’ll be more than good to have my 11-14g fat meal and meds at 7:30pm, exactly 12 hours after my morning meds. Ok so today I also went into Open Door and ended up working my absolute favorite position, the pantry assistant who walks clients around and explains the place, and also the client support room who signs up new clients and does profile reviews. I was back there with Maureen, who was just client support, and I asked Maureen if I’d taken a photo with her before, and she told me that I’d done something with her at the Empty Bowls event. So I’m sure she knows about this project. Then what I did was I drove over to Sam’s house at a bit past 7pm, like 7:27pm, and I got there at like 7:46pm. Again I talked about how the clothes I was wearing had stories again. Like the most important one was the shirt, from Grumpy’s, was from my best friend and is for a bar by the house we used to live in. I also told him the random story for the earrings I was wearing, one of which was Alex’s from Fogo, which happened when we were sleeping somewhere drunk and swapped an earring. I told him it was the first time I’d worn that set of earrings, mis-matched, since the accident. I was considering showing him some stuff on my computer, but I didn’t do it. The first thing I did when I walked in, was I told him that I kind of messed up by taking my meds before I was there, and thinking I’d eat food there. to the extent that on the drive over I even ate a piece of the chicken from the Indian meal, when it wasn’t even heated up. Like I know I could have waited 15 minutes to take the meds and it would have been fine, but I messed up by taking them a bit too soon. Then I got to his house, and I put the rest of the Indian meal in the microwave and ate it, and I gave him the Lamb Vindaloo. Then we listened to my De Fiesta playlist, and I told him that I’d made it in like 2015 when I worked at Valleyfair and learned Spanish. We also watched Monsters University, which I remember now but I'd totally forgotten until I texted me it the next day. Then, much later in the night, he made a pepperoni pizza in the oven too, and we had a bit of that. I even told him that I brought the Canasta cards and was thinking about playing and teaching him, but we didn’t get that done.
