Ok, let’s go... today was a Tuesday, which has always been my full-of-volunteering day. That’s what happened today too. In the morning I went over to Methodist, and worked there until about 12:30. That’s when I went home to join a Zoom call for people with Erdheim Chester Disease, my cancer. I admit that a lot of the call made me feel like I was different from most because most people talked extensively about the fatigue they have from this disease. I have never experienced fatigue, neither from the cancer nor from the TBI, which is apparently something that a lot of people suffer from. Anyways, on the ECD call it became clear that fatigue and sleepiness had a major impact on the majority of people on the call. Some people also had skin problems, and I shared my medication restrictions a bit. Anyways, then it became 4pm, which meant I had to go in to my volunteer shift at Open Door. I’d been considering doing something else with my time since I my Spanish class for tonight was cancelled, but nothing really exciting came up, even though I did look on Meetup.com a bit. I’m also just feeling that I might not be in a good place to meet new people right now, which is part of the reason I didn’t attend any meetups tonight. I went in to Open Door, and in the middle of the night the girl I had briefly worked with there, Liz, came in to pick up food for some clients at HCMC.
