Open Door with Ed and All Square with Jodi and Papa

March 14, 2023: Well today was interesting. In the morning I just drove to Open Door and volunteered as a Spanish translator. There was basically no one for me to translate for today. The most I did is chat a little bit with this one woman named María O, and I told her that I learned Spanish from working at Valleyfair and dating an Ecuadorian. I had my meds at 9:30 with three caramel delight cookies and cranberry juice. Well this morning I decided to wear the green shirt from Puerto Rico that Joe had given me as a present. It’s in the photo with Jodi and Papa. At Open Door there was basically no one who spoke Spanish, or who spoke Russian, which was relevant because there was a woman there to translate Russian too. I also randomly lost my phone for like 2 minutes and Lynn helped me look for it. In the end I found it by dinging it, and one of the women I was volunteering with in the back told me it had been dinging like crazy. So what I did since I wasn’t translating the whole time is I sorted out a bunch of bags with Karen and checked the expiration date on a bunch of food, along with MJ, Mary and Karen. I considered taking a photo with Karen since I worked with her a bit but I actually did one with Ed, who is one of the client services people. The ones who sit in the room where we send people back to do their profile reviews every year. I also told Liam today that I was still interested in doing trivia with them. What I did after Open Door was I drove over to Jodi’s house and picked up her and Papa and we went to All Square, a place that sort of specializes in grilled cheese. I had the Pibil sandwich, and Jodi had the jerk, and Papa had the 4 cheese, and we all split a large order of fries. I realized the fries together with pickles were amazing, which actually made me remember that I had the same experience with Joe yesterday. I learned that he doesn’t like pickles and I definitely do so I had his. Well I did the same thing today at All Square, and I last ate at 1:45. Then I went to my appointment with Whitney, thank God she could see me this week. It would have been an insanely long time otherwise. After that I also lost my notebook, which Papa went back and found outside All Square for me. After that he really strongly pushed me to use my purse for my notebook, not my side pockets. Ah well today when I was in my apartment shortly after the Whitney appointment, KC the building manager told me things will get better. I’m not sure they will, but that’s just me. God I’m just finishing this the next day now. I had my night meds at 4:28 yesterday. I also went home with Papa and played Canasta, which I won, and we had Hawaiian pizza, which ended up burnt. He told me really strongly to always keep my notebook in the same place in my bag. I think I could keep it in my pocket but he doesn’t. We had almost an argument about that.
