August 28, 2023:
Well, today was interesting. First of all, I took my meds when I woke up at 6:40am and had my meds with another vanilla bean Häagen-Dazs yogurt with 11g of fat. Then I did a therapy appointment with Jessica, and also an appointment with Dr. Bergquist, who is some kind of a psychologist consultant. Then I went out to Noodles with Papa, and paid for myself too. I had the Japanese Pan Noodles with shrimp. Then we drove to the office of the Ahmed and Fareda, who ask us to sign paperwork for Best Choice Home Care, and dropped off some paperwork. Then I drove back to Papa’s house, where we played a few games of Blokus, and had my dinner with my meds at 5:30pm. It was a salad with fat free dressing and a 11g fat fried chicken thing. Then I drove over to a meetup that I found on a Facebook group, when I asked for people who don’t drink. I didn’t even know what kind of group it was, but when I got there, some of the people were wearing name tags that said they were on a mission for the Church of Latter Day Saints. I had an alright time there, and spent a lot of time in the hot tub. When I took the picture with a couple people in the hot tub, I told them about the TBI and everything, and then I told them about this project. Then, a bit later in the night, I had a conversation that was actually very good, with a girl whose family was Korean. Her name was Eunji, and I got her contact information and she’s already texted me and told me that it was great meeting me. She used to be a crisis worker for the state of Utah, and actually also had some cancer, a melanoma, which she said has taught her to appreciate life more. So I talked to her about my problems, and the cancer, and she asked me what I’d learned from it. The only other kind of interesting thing is that I ran into a guy there who was from Romania, named Victor. Tragically I couldn’t remember the one sentence I learned in Romanian when I was at Valleyfair. But I really feel like I could continue talking to hte girl named Eunji. I also learned that the house we were at for the pool party was the house of a Mormon bishop. And the people in the middle photo, which was taken before it got dark out, were named Travis, James, Evans and Jess, I think. Almost didn’t do this post for yesterday. I sure didn’t write the whole text content. Oh, and I also learned that the camera on my phone is broken, and I need to get a new phone to replace it. Papa and I ran into the Apple store to figure that out, and I’ll be getting a new phone in a few days. They insisted to me multiple times that it wasn't my fault that it was broken, and I said that bad things like that happening to me was just the story of my life.
Grateful things: Didn’t do yesterday, but I think I was grateful for the existence of hot tubs, which I spent a lot of time in at the pool party.
