Mom Gardening, Sam and Chimborazo with Suheily and Maeve

May 21, 2023: Well today started off by doing a ton of productive things. First of all I woke up and decided to take my meds a bit before 5am, and I did it with a bagel with cream cheese. Then I cleaned the house til my mom came over. I literally just did an amazing job cleaning. I did the whole cleaning list the she wrote me, and I also cleaned out the tub and organized stuff and did some work on the bedside table. Then my mom came over at 9:30ish and she picked me up to go grocery shopping at Trader Joe’s. There I was able to use the gift card that Kenzie gave me for my birthday, and I used the whole $25 and also a bit more. I also took a picture of my groceries and sent them to Kenzie. She asked me which location we went to, and I had to admit that because I didn’t drive there, I wasn’t 100% certain but I think it was one neat downtown Minneapolis, and now I know it was! I know I went there with Papa before. Then mom drove me back home, and we put away the groceries in the freezer and did bunch of cleaning, like shaking out the patio rug and sorting out the big bin of cords that I have. She also succeeded in finding the charging cable for my portable battery pack. We also replaced my wet get liquid and cleaned the floors and organized a whole box of stuff/notes/demerits from high school into folders and milk crates that mom gotten me from Target. Now I’m just gonna go over to Papa’s house where she’s staying and eat lunch, since it just hit 12pm and I took my noon meds right on time. That's what we did, we ate some lunch together. I was intending of taking a photo of us eating lunch, but she said I had a ton of photos of eating food, so it'd be better to do one of something else, so that's where the BeReal of her gardening comes from. Then I drove home and did the family Zoom call. Honestly during the call, texting Caroline reminded me it was time to take my meds, so I did it like 15 minutes after the am time I'd done it. Then what I did was I decided to video chat Sam again, and funny enough it went a touch too long. We talked for like an hour, and I didn’t write down a single thing we talked about. We did make a plan for tomorrow though. He’s gonna come over and then we’ll walk to Venn brewery and have a drink or two there, then go back to my place. Funny enough the chat lasted just a touch too long, so I was technically “late” for my 7pm dinner. It was fine though, because I still got there before Suheily. Maeve was there first. Then I got there and we grabbed a table outside, and then Suheily joined us. I learned today that Suheily doesn’t work at Fogo anymore either, which I was shocked by. Apparently she’s doing real estate stuff and also working at Billy’s Sushi with another guy who used to be a CSR at Fogo, Connor. Maeve also said she was just accepting a big girl job, though I wasn’t quite clear what she’ll actually be doing. Oh the other very interesting thing that happened tonight was we literally ended up video chatting the hostesses at Fogo, and Matt popped in and said hi. Literally I’m pretty sure that Suheily even told him that when we were all there it was the “dream team,” though I didn’t write down anything about that interaction. Just trusting my flawless memory here. Oh and now for the notes. Well Suheily just turned 31 a few weeks ago, and I also showed both of them my @anyamagnuson photo Instagram, especially because Suheily was showing some professional photos she’d had taken of herself. Now they both follow me, and I’m kinda surprised they hadn’t before. I also succeeded in showing them my “yo hablo español” pin from Open Door, and said that I loved Spanish because it’s something I specifically have failed to forget from before the accident. I also told them the story of me talking to an Argentinian occupational therapist in the hospital in Spanish, and some doctors thinking I only spoke Spanish. I told them that part of the reason I loved Spanish so much now is that it’s a big thing that I remembered from before the accident. I also told them about Sam, and I asked Suheily if she remembered the kind of guys I like, and she remembered I liked latinos. I also learned the photos we have of us right before my accident were taken in Suheily’s car, which I hadn’t known. She also recommended to me the restaurant La Colonia. Well, for food I got the vegetariano saltado, and I asked for some ají criollo salsa. I also talked to them about how I desperately would need a job with health care to go off disability, and Maeve suggested MN state health care. I’m not really sure what the program is, but it’s something to look at. We also tried and maybe succeeded in setting up another time to hang out. We’re saying we’ll plan for June 15th. Well when we were leaving the server actually asked my name since I had said it was my favorite restaurant. Her name was Leah, and she said it’s her favorite restaurant too and she’s been there for like 12 years. Oh and I also was reminded that it was actually the hostess Amoreina who called Suheily, which led to the video chat with Matt. Oh and then at the very end, when we were all walking in different directions because we parked in different places, I told Maeve how incredibly desperate I had been to drive after the crash, and also mentioned I now had a green car, which I’d wanted before the accident too. I don’t think she actually quite saw most of my car, but it was still a good conversation point. Maeve also told us that she’d text us the amount to Venmo her, since she paid under the understanding we’d both Venmo her.
