August 29, 2023: Today started off by me taking my meds at 6:35am, and I realized later in the day that I should have taken them at like 8 or something, because I was forced to have my night meds quite late. When I had my morning meds, I had them with two 6g fat Trader Joe’s yogurts, strawberry and banana. I also gave mom a call and ended up charging my extra iCloud storage, that costs like a dollar a month, to my credit card, since hers was compromised or something. Then, I went into Methodist a bit before 10am, and worked with a lot of people, including a woman named Louise who I had a nice conversation with. Louise said that she has twin daughters and that one of them is moving in with a guy in a wheelchair, and that they’re having a lot of problems finding a place. I had a piece of pizza at Methodist before I left. From there, I pretty much went directly to the Bilingual Learning Center, where Blanca had said I could come in to help out. The “work” I did there was very basic, literally just putting some forms in folders. I finished faster than she thought I might too. The interesting thing that I did was I was able to meet a bunch of the other staff, including two women who were both named Adriana. One of them is from Venezuela and the other is from Mexico. Blanca also gave me some tax forms to fill out, and we decided I should take them home to how my mom. Then I went home, and on my way back I stopped at Jodi’s house since she was outside, and asked for her help with getting my phone to connect to my car. It turned out that only one of the cable ports would allow it to connect, and the other port is just good for charging my watch. We also decided that we’d drive to mom’s house for dinner together. So what I did is waited til like 4:30pm, and then I drove over to pick up Jodi, and then Bill from where he’d been working, and we went to mom’s. At mom’s we had dinner, which was ravioli and bread. After dinner we had dessert, which was a raspberry cheesecake ice cream. Unfortunately, I didn’t finish eating until 6:18pm, and then I went to drive back home and I was actually driving Jodi and Bill home when the alarm for two hours later rang, and I didn’t have anything to eat with me, so I waited until I got home, which was at 8:47pm. I had the meds with an 11g fat bag of Cheez-Its that I think I’d picked up at Open Door one day. Anyways, the other thing that happened was that Jodi and Bill and I all swum in mom’s pool. I wore a swim suit I’d gotten at the cabin that didn’t have any straps, which was annoying because it kept falling down when I tried to swim. In here, I’ve got the picture I took of me and Jodi, with mom and Bill in the background, and also my BeReal that I got exactly on time with Jodi. It also shows the fact that my phone’s camera is broken, because it just currently can’t take any photos in focus when it’s on the 1x mode, aka the normal one. I’m getting a new phone now because it’s so annoying. Oh, and I also succeeded in showing my mom the tax forms, even though it turned out that I shouldn’t fill most of it out, we think.
Grateful things: Grateful that I have a supportive employer now, grateful for the chapstick and red earrings that I got from Jodi the other day, grateful for phone alarms that tell me when I can and should take my medication.
