ALRIGHT the first photo I have today is one I took at the Methodist food shelf while I was working on the computer there. In a way, Methodist really helped my depression this morning. At night, I didn’t even take a photo during my Open Door volunteering. The thing that happened there was that the pantry manager Sean told me very directly that I was going to continue to not be allowed to work the computer there. I understand why, because it sounds like I made some objective mistakes, but really I just believe it was all a result of the brain injury, and that’s why I’m not sure if I want to continue to volunteer there as much as I had been before. Today one lady, named Vicki, allowed me to use the computer a few times when she stepped away from it, and I don’t think that they even want that happening, even though I didn’t make any mistakes. I actually left Open Door like 15 minutes early, leaving to attend a group meetup with the Spanish group I’m becoming quite involved in. I actually left at the exact time that Vicki went home, so it wasn't even noteably early. I left to attend this meetup at La Doña cervecaría, and I had one beer there, a raspberry sour. Afterwards, this one Venezuelan guy named Oswaldo decided to get us both these two non-alcoholic beers. The other really cool thing that happened there was I was able to meet a new girl, named Rachel. She’s the one in my other photo. I was also able to explain my whole blog situation to her, and to Oswaldo a bit more. It was a good day to put on my new purple eyeshadow and my golden snake earrings in the form of paperclips. In a way, putting on makeup and getting ready is kind of the most significant portion of my day, and it helps me to care about life at all.
