Monday, November 6th: Alright I’ll do this today. I kinda just wanna start with my photos. I went to an occupational therapy appointment with Jessica, and I left like 5 or 10 minutes early to get to my meeting with Debbi about volunteering at the Minnesota Brain Injury Alliance. Then, I went home and organized my list of things to buy, and drove over to the Target in Highland, which is in the place Barnes & Nobles used to be. I’d never been to that store before. I was actually going for non-food items, like makeup and chapstick, but when I was there, I shockingly found a little bit of food that would be PERFECT for my meds. I found a few “quick bites” and “cheese & crackers” that were perfect on fat count, and look like they’d be easy to store as well. I also knocked some more stuff off my shopping list, like new eye shadow and a new eyebrow mascara thing.
Forgot to mention this, but I also had my meds at 7:54am, which was right when I finished my Croissant Delight that I’d bought at Target the other day. Later on, I also messaged a girl from high school about what to wear o Heidi’s wedding. I’ve gotta go buy a maroon, green or brown dress, though I'm not totally suer where. It’s exciting because I know that when I went my most recent wedding, my cousin Casey’s, I was in a horrible mood, and one of the only things I was thinking was that I wanted the next wedding to be better. I’m 110% sure that it will be. This was actually something I talked about in therapy with Jessica today, which is actually what made made me remember my the thoughts I had during Casey’s wedding, which hadn’t been on my mind.
Anyways, I got out of order here. After doing that shopping trip in the afternoon, I drove over to Ella Baker for my Spanish class. Today, we actually learned several new things. like using gratuita instead of gratis when talking about situations or actions, and also some facts about collective nouns and giving commands to a group of people. We also read our homework from last week, which I had totally forgotten to do. It wasn’t a problem, but I’m definitely going to do my homework for this week. Maybe I’ll do it tonight. We’ve gotta “add on to” the homework from last week, which was writing a recipe for happiness, explaining what you need to do to make good friends, or arguing what you can do to live for 100 years. They were interesting questions, and I’m sure that this week I’ll just answer them for the first time.
At the end of Spanish, I asked what class we should take in the future if we want to take more classes with her. She said that she’s starting an Español 5 soon, and she wasn’t sure if it was online or in person, but if it’s in person I will definitely show up. After Spanish class, I drove home and I actually was just pulling up when my alarm went off for my meds. I decided to cook the food first, so I heated up the oven and put some of the Trader Joe’s orange chicken in the oven. It’s actually the one that I’d lost the sauce to last time, and I had to buy a different new sauce at Trader Joe’s recently. It was actually very alright. Meds at 8:15pm tonight with the mandarin orange chicken and the wrong sauce.
One thought that I starred in my notes today was, “I don’t know if new things are always better, but I do know that there’s a lot of old things that are pure bad.” I also told KC when he came in to fix my kitchen lights that had burnt out that it was doing tasks like that that are exactly the reason I want to continue to live alone. Oh well, I have more I could add and I’m not going to remember it tomorrow, but I need to go to sleep.
