September 13, 2023: Alright, it’s been another day so I’ve just decided to write this a while later. Gonna be hard not to talk about the things that have happened since then. So on the 13th, I hd my meds at 7am, I had my them with the other half of the avocado I’d eaten the day before. I also still had some cramping, so I had some ibuprofen. I also thought about the fact that everything depressed me, whether it’s good or bad. The good makes me feel jealous, and the bad makes me think it’s not as bad as what has happened to me. I also played like two hands of Canasta with Papa, and for once he was winning. We didn’t finish though. Instead, I went in to get my CT scan done at Mayo. Papa drove me there, since I still can't drive yet. When I was there, the BeReal went off, but I realized that I don’t get notifications for it anymore, so I got it 10 minutes late, so no extra posts. I also realized when I got the CT scan done that it was good I hadn’t put my small silver hoops back in after the last scan, which was about a week ago. Then, after the scan, which we were able to talk our way into a bit early, we went to visit Dr. Flanigan. He adjusted my shunt from the 3 setting back to the 4 setting, which should be better, and stop over-draining from happening. I took a picture of his screen when he was talking about looking at the scans of the shunt settings. I also asked where Dr. Flanigan went to med school, and it was Cleveland Clinic. Then we drove back home, and I had my meds at 7pm, just like the morning. I had them with a McDonald’s cheeseburger for like 13g of fat, and then also a smoothie that we think might have been mango pineapple, but I didn’t write it down so who knows. The smoothie was very low fat, maybe 1g. Oh well, I didn’t write a word of this yesterday, and now it’s almost the next night, and I don’t know much at all. Honestly, that’s the reason I wanna keep doing this project.
I’m sure yesterday I was grateful that I could see Dr. Flanigan on the same day as I got the CT scan, because for quite a while we thought we would have to come back a second day.
