Lunds with Kenneth and more

Feb. 24, 2023: Well today didn’t suck at all. To start with my notes, I had my meds at 5:30 this morning. Don’t know why I wrote down 4:45 because I didn’t take them then. I know because I screenshotted 5:30. Then I played some phone games like Gin Rummy and played my wordle, worldle, statele, waffle games. Then I went to the gym and did my personal training with Will. I had shared the document with him that I typed up of my workout with notes, and he said that he’ll just make a new page for my secondary workout, given that I have so much time now. I also found the coffee cup top that I thought I had lost the other day, just by doing my dishes. For breakfast I had the blueberry special K I’d gotten with Talia. Made coffee then went to Oxendales and bought melatonin and oat milk. I also saw KC in the hallway and told him that I had another bad day at work coming up. It wasn’t bad actually, but I’ll get to it later. I also made a list of what to bring to Lunds, since I already have a gym list and a Fogo list. The Lunds list includes a bunch of Fogo stuff like the pants and shoes and sweater. Then I drove over to the gym and did training with Will. I didn’t write down much from that, just that I randomly saw on his iPad something that mentioned abduction so he had me do that too. He said that he’s glad I’m interested in trying new things. Now I have abduction at 50lb an adduction at 35lb on my list. I also learned today that Will has never used dating apps. I told him that my friend Hannah never has either and is also not interested. I also told the woman who was using locker 211 that that’s the locker I always use. At 5k steps I put chapstick on and blew my nose, which I needed to do. This morning I had also messaged Dr. Esterov about my Ritalin prescription and he replied during my training and I answered him in the hot tub. He said that I’ll have a new Ritalin prescription by Sunday and I should pick it up at Walgreens. Getting back to my notes, I also randomly cut my left knee shaving in the shower and had to ask a lady in the locker room to grab me a bandaid from the lifeguard. Then I went over to Papa’s and had Chinese food, almost the last of it. I went straight to Lunds and clocked in like 5 minutes late for my 1pm shift because coming from Papa’s. I did manage to clock in at 7,060 steps I think. Today was so much better at Lunds. I worked mainly following the courtesy clerk Ken. It was not even close to another day watching videos for me, which I thought it would be. Ken and I bagged groceries for the cashier Abby quite a bit. I even told Abby that I used to work at Fogo, and I told Ken about the brain injury and that I take notes on everything that happens to me. Abby has workd at Lunds for about a year and Ken since mid-November. I also told Ken all about this project. At one point Abby said that she even bleached her eyebrows, and I told her to try getting cancer, since I was telling them about the white hair thing. Other random facts are that I also learned that we tie up the plastic bags when they just have like a few produce items in there, we put the broken paper bags in a bin in the online order room, and all the bags are charged as 5¢ whether they’re paper or plastic. We also put the hot chicken we sell in a plastic bag then inside the paper bag. I also told a customer with a Wisconsin license plate that it was my first day and she said I was doing great. I also learned that for every shift we work less than 6 hours we get one paid 15 minute break and a full day shift would get a half hour paid break. I went on my 15 minute break at 3:45. I shouldn’t have eaten on my break because of my meds, but I was hungry so I did. I had a veggie sushi with extra ginger for $7.55. Also random as hell, Joe came in today and kind of waved at me. I didn’t say anything to him though. I guess we technically have met now. There was also a worker of some gender named Jamin who was also a courtesy clerk. Jamin took me back to the ice room to grab bags of ice to stock the fridge. At the end of my shift we picked up another to go order with Ben, the manager. God there’s a bunch of stuff I didn’t write that I took notes on, just like random things we do. Frankly I was feeling happy at the end of my shift today, dramatically helped by the fact that I can drive there alone. Then I went back to Papa’s and waited til 5:52 to have my meds, since that was 2 hours after the sushi. We also backed up my dropbox and backed up my whole computer too. Then I drove back to Lunds to pick up my jacket I left there since I left wearing the Lunds jacket they gave me, which I'm wearing in this photo. I don’t have a lotta space left, but I had pretty much the last of the Chinese food for dinner and we played Canasta while waiting for my computer to back up. Well it’s backed up and my Dropbox is backed up now and I have the hard drive at my house now too. Ah well I’m done but I really do feel like Lunds might be able to make me happy now, after I actually worked a real shift.
