Losing trivia and a trip to river + mom’s house

Ok, I’m making a random stab at writing this after midnight. Today started with meds at 8 am and mom coming over, and then we took a walk over the Stone Arch Bridge, noticing the areas that weren’t frozen over. After that, we went to get a pedicure. I admit my feet kind of needed the attention since I don’t clip them often outside of pedicures. At the pedicure, I took off the glittery white paint I’d chosen when I went with Heidi and replaced it with a glittery purple that I remember wanting “next time,” even when we went back then.
Anyway, after the pedicure, we decided to try to go out to eat. Even though I have not suddenly regained my appetite, at least I don’t feel so nauseous when eating. We’re not sure if that can be credited to the change in my meds over the last few days. We ate churrasco and ceviche, then hung out at Mom’s house for a bit, and I read a small amount of the Four Winds book I had listened to on audio. I was not able to get as into it as I had when listening to it while driving, to be honest.
I’m also not gonna lie, on days like this one it truly helps me to have photos that have time stamps. I can remember what I did, but often don’t remember the order. So, it’s significant that a photo I took in Chimborazo at 2:08 pm is after a photo I took at the pedicure at 12:49 pm. And then, that picture of me reading the Four Winds book is at 4:01 pm, pretty much right before I took my night/afternoon meds at 4:15 pm. What I did for those meds was I ate a 13g cold hot dog wrapped in a bit of tortilla. It’s not an objectively “great meal,” but it was right for its medication needs.
Ok, now we get to the hard decision of the day. I’d signed up to attend a Spanish language meetup that came from a group like the one I usually meet up with on Monday nights, but I just started feeling like I wasn’t in a good enough place to meet new people at this time. So, I decided to try trivia with Liam and company. I was able to drive myself over there, and by doing that I realized that I get a fair amount of pleasure just from the act of driving. Like I know I could be independent without driving, but I just quite enjoy doing it and don’t want to lose it.
Anyway, at trivia, I met up with Liam, Alex, and Lily. The four of us were on a team and did not do well. One interesting thing was that one round just listed off words in different languages for “cheers” and had you guess the language. I guessed that salté was Italian, but it was not. It won’t come up when I’m googling it now either, so I have no idea what language that comes from.
The other cool thing was that Mattie and Ezra stopped by after the trivia part of the night. We watched a bit of a game show called The Traitors, and then also started a bit of some show where the Nazis had won WWII. Liam asked if I felt like I’d gotten into it, and I hadn’t really. Still a decently nice night though.
