Ok, to start off with, today was basically a therapy day. I did my meds at 8:40am with some eggs, after an attempt with yogurt and granola, that I didn’t finish because it didn’t taste great. Then I saw Jessica at 10am, and pretty much right when I was done talking to her, it was time to see Whitney at 11am. Those were basically my two big events today. I’m honestly not sure what to write about the rest of the day, since I totally failed to take notes on anything I did, so I have no idea what happened. There was definitely a point where Papa came over with Chipotle, and then we played a hand of Canasta. My BeReal went off when we were eating the Chipotle, and he was holding a copy of a jigsaw puzzle that he didn’t like very much at the time.
At a bit before four, I got ready to head over to Open Door for my volunteer shift. Frankly, today at Open Door there were an excessive amount of Spanish-speaking volunteers, so I felt a little bit less “needed” than I usually do. There were literally seven of us. Another girl who works there said that she’d like it to be like that every day, and I’m not sure about that. At the end of the night, I did manage to grab an extra BeReal with two girls Lindsey and Sophie. One of them has a dad from Spain, and the other one doesn’t know Spanish, but they came here to volunteer together because they used to work together somewhere else. Now, they’re both project managers at different companies. Oh, and the background, I have a page that Italia made for greeters who speak English to pronounce some of the times we have to say in something that sounds like Spanish.
