John at Open Door, Mom at Chimborazo and driving

Feb. 16, 2023: Another independent day. This morning I drove over to Open Door and volunteered as a food sorter. That position includes a fuck ton more walking. I got to 5k there doing that. I also talked to the volunteer John quite a bit and told him about this project and my accident and being on disability and looking for things to do. On the drive in I listened to my Reboot 1.0 2023 playlist. That’s my driving playlist now. It’s funny how I thought that working at Fogo as a server would make me happy and now I feel like not working at Fogo and being on disability is making me happy. I also sent Papa the email I got from Lunds saying they’ll message the operations manager about my background check today. I also looked through my photos and colored the ones I’d sent to Whitney already. This morning I randomly thought I lost my notebook and even texted Papa about it but then it was under a blanket in my bed. Before volunteering I had some red berry special K and the coffee from the other day. Tragically I forgot the coffee at home when I went to Open Door. At Open Door I learned that unlike Sabathani they save the flats and the boxes instead of breaking them down. I worked with Wendy, who works in client services and used to manage the pantry, and John, who’s retired, a lot. Wendy answered a lot of my questions. I talked to Veronica too and she told me to just sign up when is convenient for me. Got 2000 even in the pantry. I randomly lost the first coffee I made and then I went back and got more, with just two sugar packets in it. Also had a bit of the pecan pastry they had in the volunteer and staff room. I’m home now doing this and I’ll go into the gym and then pick up mom from the airport at 5:15. I also heard back from Lunds and will start on Monday. I have to go in with my passport and get paperwork done. I’m hoping to also be able to ask about getting consistent hours and staying at 20 hours a week. At the gym I did Will’s whole workout and even asked him about double checking that I’m doing all my exercises right. He told me to just make sure to bring the printout tomorrow. I will. I also figured out the last time I ate, which was leftover lasagna from Pizza Luce, at 2:15. So then I had my meds at 4:30. Before picking mom up I got gas, and the cashier aid they always had a problem with that station so I had to do it inside again. Then I picked mom up and had a bit of an issue confusing the departure and arrival entrances. Got there though, and mom took the photo on the right to send to her friends from the cruise, of me picking her up in my new green car. Then I drove us to Chimborazo. I told mom there about the new playlist I made with Liam and we made a plan for me to take her from my house Saturday and get my eyebrows dyed when she dyes her hair with Tasha. I also told her how excited I was to spend the night at Liam’s on Saturday night. For food I ordered the saltado with steak and she got the churrasco. I was also able to take all our leftovers home, so that’ll help me in my quest to feed myself without Fogo. We also bought a bottle of the green salsa I love from there, and learned that it’s called ahí sauce. We also made a list of all the questions I’ll have to ask Lunds and made a plan for Saturday. Not gonna write out everything here but I will write it in a different document. My goal isn’t 10k anymore but today I did it anyways. Got 10,133
