July 29, 2023: Alright it’s the next day. Yesterday the day started by me taking my meds at 6:10am. Then I went and tried to hang out with a guy from Meetup the other day, but it didn’t go well. He literally told me at the end he wasn’t looking for new friends, that he had enough. Then I hung out with Papa and Jodi and Jeff and Tina for most of the day. I’ve got a BeReal of us in the backyard. I also asked Jeff and Tina how they met. It was at a friend's party. Then I went over to Liam’s for trivia. He told me to just drive to the brewery because he’d be late, but instead I left a bit early and I drove to his house and parked there and walked to the brewery from his house. I met up with Alex first, and then Lily came to join, We did alright at trivia. We didn’t win anything. But the team that usually wins actually got third place, so they won the cheese balls. And then they invited us over for a bonfire. So we went to that after trivia. I stupidly didn’t take a single photo there, not even of the fire. The only picture I have is of us sitting outside the brewery before we went back to the houses. I’ve also got a picture of one of the sides of a trivia sheet. I didn’t really feel like I was able to help much. But I did succeed in making a post to Minnesota Gals Making Friends asking for ways to meet people who don’t drink. Kind of ironic that I literally made that post from a brewery, but really I do feel like my future plans might involve meeting some people who don’t drink or anything. I showed the post to Liam before I made it, and Liam told me that he thought the post had "too much information," but I don’t think so at all. I didn't even include the fact I have cancer or a TBI. I’ve already gotten some good responses. I kind of feel like putting a screenshot of the post I made into this document, but I think I won’t. The general idea is that it was asking for ways to meet people that don’t involve drinking. So that was kind of a big accomplishment yesterday, even though the only photos I have of yesterday are of the cheese balls that the other team won, and the trivia sheet. The guy who had us over was named Jon, and some of his friends, the couple Sara and Micahjosiah (MJ), were there too. I asked them how they met, and they actually told me that they met at an Irish dance thing at the Dubliner. They’re engaged now, and have been for three years. I'm just always curious where people meet their partners, since I'm looking for one. I don’t feel done, but I guess I am.
