Liam, Caroline, Hannah for presents

January 12

I'm writing this the next day. Yesterday started with going to the Mayo Clinic for an ultrasound. While I was there, after the ultrasound, I had my “45-day meeting with the job-finding agency, Accord.” During that meeting, we decided that I’d ask for a break from their services for up to six months, just while I deal with my awful medical situation, which does not leave me time to work. Afterward, I had another ultrasound and ended the day with a uroflow test. Then, Papa drove me back home much earlier in the day than we’d expected. I told my friends that we could do our meeting earlier, but Hannah couldn’t do it til 7 pm, the time we’d initially chosen because we didn’t know if I’d be at Mayo. The four of us all met up at Venn, the brewery. There, we talked a ton. We decided that the reason I loved Barbie so much was the Fogo was “beach” for me in the movie. I also saw Caroline’s engagement ring for the first time. She said that their wedding would be some day before residency starts but after match day, so after March 26, 2026. Caroline also got me two interesting language-related presents. They were a Spanish Bananagrams game, and also a Portuguese word search. I started it yesterday and found that looking for the letters with accents or carrots on them was helpful. Hannah also got me some novels in Spanish, and I’ve started one of them but have not gotten very far yet. It was interesting, because my present for Liam, the headlamp, was echoed by one of Caroline’s presents for him, which was also a kind of portable light.
