IV in wrist, random BeReal, editing Heidi’s photos!

November 24, 2023

Oh my god I don’t wanna write this because I’m so involved in editing Heidi’s wedding photos at the moment. I know I told Hannah I might get them done tonight, but I don’t think I will, so it’s good I didn’t tell Heidi that too. Let’s do the briefest summary of my day. In the morning, we drove to Mayo Clinic, and Papa drove me so I could edit Heidi’s photos during the over-an-hour drive.

We got there, and I had my PET scan, and the only notable thing with the scan was that the nurse who put in the IV had a REALLY hard time, as usual. He ended up stabbing me in a place I've never in all my years had before, the left wrist. by the hand. That deserved a photo since I’ve had hundreds of IVs and never there. He said he's never done it there either lmaooo.

He said his name, Xavier, isn’t pronounced Javier like the Xavier from Ecuador. Speaking of Xavi, today I thought about him a bit during the PET scan because of the nurse, so I messaged him later and thanked him for being the the person to teach me my first words in Spanish, and I said that Spanish been hugely útil to me in my recovery from the “daño cerebral.” That’s TBI, by the way.

Also the BeReal went off right when I was walking outta the scan and I missed it by like half an hour. Then Papa drove us home so I could edit more, and I chose to work on the photos for most of the day. That’s about when I messaged Xavi too. Posted a draft of my message on lang-8, but he responded with some help before I got corrections. Anyways, I’m still editing the 2000 photos now, and I’ve made a TON of progress today. I guess I should get a PET scan for every wedding I ever shoot in the future, lol. Byeee.
