Heather’s with mom and Kathy

January 7, 2024

Well, I’d like to make this blog a little bit more about the photos. I’m not gonna stop recounting my days, but I’ll try to focus on taking a decent background picture and having the others be good supports to it. I totally failed to do that today. I literally used a random picture I had of the whole table when we went out for brunch at Heather’s with my mom’s friend Kathy, and I’m not even sure why I took that picture.

Anyways, this morning I was aggressively not hungry for my meds, so I literally did them with a tablespoon of olive oil to get the fat count right for the meds. I’m excited to potentially go off this medication in the future, mainy because I HATE the new restrictions and how it interferes with eating normally. I think I also took an anti-nausea tablet at some point. Then, mom came over around 10:30 to drop some stuff off, and she also called a pharmacy place about the fact that I was given anti-nausea pills that have to be swallowed, not dissolved. Then, we went to our lunch with Kathy, at a place called Heather’s. I think I might have been there before but don’t really remember it. When we were there, I asked Kathy about a lady named Martha she kept mentioning.

Then, I learned that Martha is her wife, who we don’t think I have ever met. Apparently, they met working at the Hennepin County Government Center, where Martha was something similar to some of the case workers who I have had. Currently, Kathy is doing some math tutoring. which sounds awful to me, due to the math, which I've never ever been even close to good at.

For food, I actually asked the server for something for someone who doesn't currently have much of an appetite, and she recommended the salads. Mom and I both ordered salads actually, and it was good and failed to make me get nauseous. Kathy also ended up buying me refill on my pumpkin spice chai latte, which I liked a lot.

Then, mom took me home and I have little recollection of what I did for the rest of the day. I know I said I wanted to “aggressively relax,” and I think I did a fair amount of lounging about and relaxing with the rest of my day. I also worked on some more of the story translation, trying to get the pages of it more organized to bring to Mayo tomorrow so I can work on it in the car. And then, at night, I also did my meds at 5:20pm with some rice and beans, and with a tablespoon of olive oil mixed in for its fat content.
