May 11, 2023: Alright so to start with the notes mid-day, I woke up at 5:15am and went back to sleep. Then I had my meds at 8am with some oat milk and an English muffin with a ton of hummus on it. Hannah and I also decided what we’d like to do today. We decided to go for the Goodwill and art museum. I also told Hannah that it was going to be a green day, because I was wearing my green leggings, green eyeshadow, green hair clip, green hat, and now I’ve put on a green swim suit too. At Goodwill we looked at graphic tees, and I was looking for one with Spanish on it, but they didn’t have any. They had one pura vida shirt but it was huge, and the lady there said she usually wouldn’t put out clothing with Spanish because she didn’t know what it said. I tried on like three shirts, and ultimately chose the “party in the USA” shirt, and also got a colorful tank top that Hannah and my mom both said really suited me. At Goodwill after finding some stuff, I also told Hannah that if I looked any more I was gonna find more stuff I wanted to buy, and I didn’t wanna do that. So we checked out, and Hannah got an earth tones dress. We said that we both got things that suited our personalities. Then we looked for food and were thinking an Italian place called Pomodoro, but we went there and it was closed, even though Google had said it was open. So we Googled a bit more and found this place within walking distance called Lemon Tree. At Lemon Tree we ordered a mimosa and played a game of Canasta and at the beginning I was killing her, but she caught up a bit. Basically we played like two hands of it and when we ended we were like 800 apart. We decided that we should order not just play games because Lemon Tree was gonna close at 2pm. So I ordered the Lemon Tree quiche of the day, which was a meat lover today, and Hannah got another mimosa and we both got salads with our meals too, which were really good. Then we asked our server to take a photo of us together, and we did and a different server also photobombed us, which was kind of amazing. I actually asked his name later, just so I could put it in. It was Jackson. We also got a complimentary sorbet, and I got raspberry and Hannah got lemon. We both agreed the raspberry was a bit better. I also noted that I’d last eaten at 2:04pm, so theoretically I could take the meds right now but mom is telling me to do it with dinner, so I guess I will. Alright next day, so we went to Pomodoro’s and our server was actually named Kelly. I told her that it was our name too. She even took the photo for us. What we did was we got some appetizer and then the meal. So we got some calamari and bruschetta for appetizers, and the calamari wasn’t breaded, which is the first time we’d had that. We also talked a ton about what mom’s job responsibilities are, and the potential for her future, and she told me to not try to go back into journalism. For our meals we all tried each others. I got the Vongole seafood, which was basically clams with pasta. Hannah got a pizza, and mom got something with noodles. I also had my night meds with the dinner, even though I couldn't count the exact number of grams of fat. I think it was close though. Had them at 7:06pm. Oh my god I just remembered to add in what Hannah and I did right before dinner. We went to the beach, and my sunburn was finally healed enough to swim outside a bit. I also wore my green swim suit because it was a “green day,” which is one that I hadn’t worn yet on this trip. We basically swam out and swam in with the waves, which were a bit less big than previous days but still really fun. I told Hannah that I understood why she’d been going out to swim so much. Oh and I’m barely gonna have enough space to finish this day, again. I wore a shirt for most of the time we were out there, for the sun burn, but took it off for the photo. Oh and after we finished dinner, we all went back and Hannah and I played a little bit more Canasta, finishing the game. Even though I was really far ahead at the beginning she came back and beat me. We also watched a movie with some Spanish in it, called Spanglish. It was really good, but we didn’t finish it because we got too tired. During the movie and also the game Hannah and I were also wondering about some of the words you use to play cards in Spanish, like “dealer,” “double check,” “turn,” and “shuffle.” I’ll ask my Spanish teacher when I go back, which is why I wrote them down. We also decided that we had to watch a different Spanish movie, called Roma, at my house with some friends some time when we get back. This vacation has been an amazing turn of events in my life.
