Well, today Jodi came to pick me up and take my to a coffee shop. First, they brought me to a farmer’s market by the Guthrie, and there I got a beige claw clip for my hair. Jodi took a picture of it in my hair too. 

We had a nice lunch though, and decided to go to Hannah’s restaurant, Nolo’s. At first I assumed she’d still be out with COVID, but she said she’s just been able to get back. At Nolo’s, we split a few things instead of ordering one each. I knew that I’d like one of them more, but wasn’t sure which one it would be. In the end, I liked the breakfast fried rice much more, and didn’t even eat my one of the breakfast tacos we ordered. Hannah also gave us the “friends and family” discount, and I was surprised by how generous it was. Maybe that’s because she’s doing some managing now. 

It was also great to talk to Hannah about my Utah trip and what’s been going on in our lives recently. She said she was also looking forward to when we’d be able to do our Christmas gift exchange, though we don’t have a date set at the moment. Honestly, I’d assumed she still had COVID, but clearly she’s quite recovered. 

After Nolo’s, we decided to finally go to the nearby coffee shop, which was kind of our original plan. Unfortunately, I had thought that the place we were going (FRGMTS) was a restaurant not a café, so I hadn’t brought anything to work on. I had brought my gym bag since Jodi said we might stop at the JCC., but we decided against that partly because I’m still so much not recovered from  surgery, and I’m not even sure I’m allowed to go in a pool at this point. So, we had to run back to the house to grab my backpack with notebooks and a computer to be ready for a coffee shop. While we were at FRGMTS, I got the next section of the story Mayo had written about me translated into Spanish, and I posted it on lang-8 for corrections. It’s my third post on this story, and I’m not sure how many I’ll break it up into yet. So far, I’ve only received one corrections post on a previous section of the article that I’d posted, but I’ve made the edits to what I have written in my Google document. 

Now, we’re back at home and going to work on the kids books jigsaw puzzle I started with grandma the other day.
