Well today I took my meds at 6:11am with a strawberry and banana & cream yogurts pair. Then, mom came over and I wrote my thank you letter to Maurine for the card. Then, I drove us to Trader Joe’s to go shopping. Got some normal things like eggs and milk, and also some of the shrimp tempura and orange chicken. First time I’ve driven there, since usually mom drives me. I like this a TON more. I’m just trying to be able to feed myself at home now, so hopefully I’ll be good to take a trip to Trader Joe’s alone very soon. I’m still not quite sure what she’s “helping” me with. Oh well, we did that, and also got some other important things done at home. For one, I submitted my entry to the art contest. What I submitted was actually a few of my photo of the days from April and May of 2022, when I was the most depressed I’ve been in my life. We also emailed LYB about possibly volunteering, which could be nice option.
Once I was left at home, I had a really nice conversation with the building manager KC, and told him all about the retreat I just went on. Then, Jodi and Bill invited me to a 4:30pm yoga class at the JCC. We got there like an hour or so early, and during that time I just used some of the machines. I did a lot on the leg press, and a bit on the rower too. Then, we went to yoga. Turns out this yoga was called “yin yoga & meditation.” It was very much less active than the barre classes I usually do. I think I like barre better, and I even said at the end of the class Lisa asked if we had any questions that it was very different from barre, when. Oh yeah, Lisa was teaching it. A new instructor for me. Also, I'm NOT finishing this today, just because of tiredness. I'll get back to it when I'm more awake.
After that, Jodi and Bill and I ran over to Lunds to pick up more food for dinner. Initially there was talk about hamburgers, but we eded up deciding on burritos. We had those, and then we played a game of Hearts. I lost, badly. Papa won, like he often does. Then we played a new game that was hard but interesting. It was called "jotto" and had to do with guessing a 5 letter word like Wordle. The guessing was much more mathematical though, since you just got the number of letters that were right in guessed words.
Grateful: Today, I’m grateful to have Jodi in my life. Oh my God I wrote most of this yesterday and am not really convinced I have everything that happened. It's strange how getting run over by a car has literally turned me into kind of a blogger.
