Well, the first note I took today was writing down the spelling of the word veinte for Bernie at the gym this morning. What happened with that is he randomly messaged me at 8:52 am and told me he was gonna be early to our workout. I had completely forgotten about the workout and had literally just taken my morning meds at 8:45 am with some cheese and crackers leftover from the time I ate half of them a few days ago. The cheese and crackers had 22g of fat for the whole pack, so I ate half the pack the other day, and the second half this morning. After that, I randomly rushed to the gym literally without even putting any makeup on before I left. At the gym, I started to teach Bernie numbers 1-20 in Spanish. At this point, he’s successfully learned how to say 11, which is once. Today I also wore a shirt that I’d received from the gear exchange yesterday. I should also mention that in way, working out with Bernie today was very significant to me. I literally crawled out of bed to do it. Afterwards, we did a family lunch at like 12pm. Jodi and Bill and grandma came, along with some family friends and/or relatives Ed and Nancy. After we had our lunch, we ran over to my apartment to pick up a big wooden shelf to put in my new room now. We were realizing that I just have an extraordinary amount of random notebooks and books that were not organized at all. So we popped over there to pick up the shelf, and also picked up a few bags of other items. Seriously, moving stuff out of my old apartment just makes me so freaking desperate to be able to live alone again. I’m really placing all of my hopes on the condo that mom’s been talking about. I just want desperately to need to take care of little household tasks, which is the main thing that makes living alone feel independent.
Anyways, let’s do a new paragraph for the next part. I also attended a Spanish group meetup at night, which was kind of wonderful. For the group, the first person there was this guy Tadeo who I had talked to a bit the other day as well. We ended up having a great conversation today too, including talking a lot about my blog, and him scrolling through the blog on his phone in front of me. He literally made some comment about it seeming like I had everything figured out and working well, at which point I literally told him that for a while I had been literally “just been trying to make my blog look social enough” which often kinda led to me actually being social enough. We also talked a bit about the fact that he’s going to go to Paraguay for two months. He asked me what he should do there, and I suggested finding some volunteering to do. He was open to it. Afterwards, we all ended up playing some games together. We played a game or two of pool and also some Shuffleboard. In addition, this one girl named Ellie had brought her Polaroid camera, and I asked another girl who was playing pool near us to take a photo of the group. There were two photos taken by two different girls, and I know the second one was named Lexi. In a way, I kind of want to buy a Polaroid camera now, and I probably will. Ellie said that she wanted one that took square photos, not horizontal like she has, and I found one by googling it when I was there tonight.
