04.20.24: GREAT night con el grupo de español y Saúl G.

Updated: Jun 4, 2024

April 20, 2024:

ALRIGHT this was the BEST NIGHT EVER! It’s kind of night that makes me glad I’m still alive, kind of especially because I didn’t want to be for so long. And I texted the BIG group chat tonight, “GRACIAS POR ESTA NOCHE! es el tipo de noche que creía que nunca tendría otra vez!!!!!” AKA “thanks so much for tonight! it’s the kind of night that I believed I’d never be able to have again!!!!!” The other mildly significant thing that I was able to achieve was my tote bag, which I have a photo of me holding. Basically, they were giving them out for free at this tent, which I know I wrote down the name of, and I’ll try to find my note later. Anyways, earlier in the day, I had gone on a date with a guy from Bumble named Josh, who I wasn’t expecting to like a ton, but we had a really good conversation and I feel like I could maybe become friends with him in the future, So that was a success too actually, even though I’m probably not going to be very romantically interested in him in the future, kind of especially because he doesn’t speak much Spanish to be honest. ANYWAYS, let’s get to the photos from tonight, when I met up with my Spanish group at Spring Jam 2024. We had a great time, and I met several new people too, including a couple of Mexican Spanish-speakers, including a guy named Saúl G. whose family comes from Chihuahua, Mexico, and whose mom works as a paralegal. He was REALLY impressed with my story, and with how giving I am with all of my volunteer work. He also gave me his mom’s number, and said we should connect some time. I’ll work on that tomorrow I think, since it’s literally 3:30 am at this moment. Ok, I just deleted a second pic from my date with Josh to add the picture of me with Saúl at the end of the night, which is technically a tomorrow photo, but it was taken at 1:19am of the 21st, so just after midnight on the 20th, which is TODAY. Fortunately I’d taken my meds much earlier in the day, during my date with Josh actually, when he bought me an egg sandwich thing that seemed kinda close on fat count, which I have a photo of the barista at Diamonds Coffee Shop in Northeast holding when she showed it to me. Oh I just looked at my notes, and I should mention that I wrote much earlier in the night, definitely on the 20th, “thank God [who doesn’t exist] for this group” in Spanish.
