Fogo with Zach Dillon

Oct. 23, 2022:

Well today was a fantastic day. So first of all Izaak cancelled on me because his roommate was getting arrested. But then I picked up Israel’s shift at Fogo and I ended up closing. It was a fantastic night to stay later. Zach Dillon came in and he remembered me from before the accident. I told him that today was my anniversary and seeing him was the highlight of my day. I’m also glad about the shirt I wore today. The white mock trial shirt, that also showed the tattoo. Someone commented on the tattoo, said he liked it. Tonight I wasn’t writing down literally every thing that happened to me. Good because there’s honestly too much. I also wasn’t screenshotting every thousand steps. So in a lot of ways I’m becoming more normal. Oh in the morning I also took a great photo with Matt and other hostesses. It honesty feels like two different days. I guess that’s what happens when you work a double. I had a great day, even with no date. It was a good anniversary that actually made me happy to have survived the crash. I’m not gonna journal everything bc I wrote it here. And also at the end of the night after I was done I sat with Brenda and Maggie at the bar. They said we should hang out some time. That was also great. Matteus the bartender ex server also said we should hang out some time. Kevin the server also came in tonight and ate in Brazil with friends. On my break I talked to people. I sat with Andy, Jacob and Paige, I wrote. Actually I think we just talked about Jacob, the one who dated Cindy. We talked a lot about old people who I knew before. It was kinda slow this morning but got busy later. A customer also asked if sometimes I served and I told him that I used to before the accident. Matt said he wanted to tell my parents that I’d remembered Zach Dillon. I did also tell Zach it was the anniversary of my accident, and he was there with his wife, kids and mom. Earlier in the day Genesis had remembered my date. I filled a bunch of paper towels in the bathroom. Earlier I’d also told Matt my name was Kelly, which I’ll remember because Kelly is my middle name. I couldn’t drink at the bar because you can’t get a drink on the same day you worked. There were 125 reservations in the morning and like 300 for the night.
