Fogo with Olivia and Brenda, and Seira

Oct. 20, 2022: I took two photos of the day today, and here they’re combined into one image. Olivia and Brenda are the two in the big photo, and a girl named Seira is in the bottom right. I think Seira has been here a while because she said that Ben told her about my accident. So she must have been here during that time. It’s kind of confusing though because none of us knew her name for the whole night. When I took that photo I thought she was Aliera, who was also there. Tonight I also ran into one person who knew me from the Caring Bridge site. She said her name was Mary Hendrickson. Apparently her parents know my parents or something. I’m not really quite sure. She did recognize me from the Caring Bridge pictures though. There were 386 reservations tonight.

I did also ask Matt to work on the 23rd, the day of my accident. He said I definitely could. Even though when I looked at the reservations for that morning there weren’t that many. He and El said something about me wanting to work that day to “keep my mind off it.” I’m not sure if that’s true. Tonight I also carried a light tray from Jorge and a light tray with glasses from Ronald. Aliera pronounces her name not the way it’s spelled, she says it like “uh-lair-uh.” Tonight I told Olivia and Brenda about the trash photos of the day. They thought that was funny. I told Travis I was thinking about coming into Fogo for a drink on the accident anniversary and he asid that he thinks Matt would buy me a drink for that. Hmmm... what else... well when she first came here Serira wanted to be a server. I didn’t ask when that was. Wish I did. Adding this now... tonight I had pork chops and lamb from Allan, who goes by Panda. I also had two pieces of bread, rice, and some leftover bread with meat on it from the event earlier in the night. It was 50 people just talking and drinking and snacking.
