Fogo with Kiyara, Chelsea, Kortney, Amoreina and Kortney with potatoes

Feb. 13, 2023: I picked out my clothes for tomorrow before writing this. I’m wearing the red shirt for Valentine’s Day and my normal pants. Considered wearing the grey checkered ones but decided it doesn’t really match the shirt, and we are wearing red or pink for Valentine’s Day. Tomorrow is going to be insane. The other day Matt thanked me for staying through Valentine’s Day because it’s like the busiest day of the year. It’ll be my last day. Let’s look at the other photos and the rest of my notes now. I took a selfie in the morning with Chelsea when I worked just with her, not putting that in here though because the other photos are better. Ok now I’ll do the rest of my notes. For breakfast I had strawberry special K and cranberry juice and then I met with Jessica. I also messaged Talia, Kenzie, Hannah and Caroline about the free Fogo meal. Unfortunately later I learned that you have to be a current employee to use it so I guess we’ll never get to. The meeting with Jessica was good, I took a couple big pages of notes. I also showed her my photo of the day from yesterday, version 2. After Jessica I went over to papa’s house and had two snickerdoodle cookies and coffee. Good I had it there because the coffee machine at Fogo is broken. I also messaged Talia and Hannah about going grocery shopping together. When I drove Papa into Fogo he told me that whether it was a good day or a bad day it would be good, because a good day would make me happy and a bad day would confirm my decision to leave. He said heads or tails you win. At his house I also read him all my notes from Jessica. She had said that leaving might help me grow and that part of the reason I went back to Fogo was because I wanted things to go back to the way they were. She said leaving will give me a fresh start and gets rid of comparisons. I also told her that I’d wanted to work a few shifts at Lunds before quitting, but that didn’t get to happen. Lunds is still waiting on my background check, I emailed them checking when I’d be able to start and they said they’re just waiting on the background check coming back. I told that to Hannah and she said that it’s too bad I’m a convicted felon, lol. I also just was asked to come into Open Door tomorrow at 9:30am, which is low key better than 10:15. Back to the notes. This morning El was managing. Mattheas said that Matt might be right about Lunds being boring but I still wanna give it a shot. Mattheas also said that he eats out too much when I asked about getting food. He suggested getting an instapot, which is like a crock pot but faster. Chelsea also asked me this morning what it was like to be in a coma and I said that it was deleted from my memory. I told her my first memory after the accident was getting coffee with a nurse or therapist. The other good thing that happened today was Suheily said that we should still get brunch some time, and that she’s already texted Maeve to ask about it. I told Papa about that too, though I think I said it was a different day. I talked to Maggie a bit today too. I said that Lunds might be boring but that I also find hostessing boring. I told her that Matt said that we could treat this like me giving two weeks notice. She also said her first date with Jorge was walking in the skyways. So that’s what I did on my break. On my break I also ate picanha from Teilor, and I talked to the busser Lexi about the accident and my tattoo that I got at Sacred Siren. Matt also randomly came in wearing crocs on his day off. Someone asked him if that’s how he alwasys dresses when he’s not working. He said pretty much. I also got weirdly lost in the skyway and missed 2:30 by a few minutes, and when I came back Chelsea said she didn’t care. When I clocked back in I made tables with Rubi and planned the whole night. I also talked to Elizete and told her that Portuguese is the one thing I’d miss about Fogo. I told her that her brother El had told me traumatismo craniano. I also told her that I’d learned Spanish working at Valleyfair with Equadorians. I also talked a bit to Brandy and said leaving after tomorrow and working at Lunds. She said that her back is so fucked up from serving she might have to leave too. I joked that she shoulld join me at Lunds. I also told Nikki the office manager about Lunds and she said Stella loves Lunds and that the Nokomis Lunds is a nice new store. Kiyara came in at 4 so I wasn’t alone the whole time. I did randomly take an hour and a half break. When Chelsea came back she said the gym was painful. Fernando was the closer tonight. He asked us hostesses who liked to cook and then sent me and Kortney to the back to help peel potatoes for the 2k people tomorrow who will get mashed potatoes. I had my meds at 5pm today. For dinner after I was done with the potatoes I had bacon wrapped steak and rice and mozarella/tomato/spinach from the market table. I also got Leo’s new number. We were talking because he was peeling shrimp in the back when I was doing potatoes. Weirdly the new number that he gave me turned out to be a woman named Lisa. I’ll try to get him just to text me from his actual number tomorrow. I still would love to hang out some time. Out of space, but today we had like 52 for lunch and 243 for dinner. Tomorrow is 2,148. Insane.
