Fogo with everyone, including Amani, Maggie, Diane, Isa, Pedro, Pedro’s kid Nayri, Suheily, Salima

Jan. 8, 2023: Well holy fuck I had an amazing time today. First of all, I served. I literally went to ask Matt if I could serve today and he said that my name was already on the board and told me to look before asking him. So I’ll do that now. I also took a photo of my name on the board and put it on my Snapchat story. First of all, the photo I was actually intending on being my photo of the day, on the right. It was Maggie, Diane, Isa I think. Maggie is the one who I helped serve, the one who is named Jasleen originally. Then I also took a photo with the new server Amani. I told her a bit about the accident and said Fogo was the first thing I cared about. I was also wearing my Ecuador shirt, which I literally only wore because I knew there’d be Ecuadorians there and it’d start conversations. It did. I talked about it and my ex boyfriend to a lot of people. Also funny enough tonight Pedro actually brought his child. It’s a girl named Nayri. She’s in the middle left photo. I literally just texted Pedro to get her name since I'd lost my notes. Then Matteus brought me home. And I even invited him in and showed him the whole photo journal. Even the photos of trash cans from months ago. Said it’s definitely better now, and said that this year has had a good start. God there’s so much more that I haven’t written that happened. Well while I was serving I actually did ask one table for a review tonight. It was Jordan and Ilana at table 62. I even told them about the car accident and stuff. Won’t forget their names, and I forget a lot because of the TBI. I didn’t tell them that though. Also tonight Matteus took me home and came in and talked a lot, which was amazing. That was a good end to a good day. I really do feel like I’ll be able to officially serve some time soon, especially if I keep doing well. I didn’t get to tell Matt that serving was the thing I wanted most in the world but I was able to offer to stay til close when he told me I could leave, I said I wanted to stay longer because I was serving. I think he knows how much I love it. I told Matteus a lot and even showed him my journal where I’m writing small. I also showed him my last journal and said that I just wanted to be working by the end of it and barely made it. He said I seem to be meeting a lot of my goals. I also did ask what was in the jumbo shrimp cocktail, which I’d been planning on doing. It’s snow crab legs, lobster tails and claws, shrimp and mussels. Told him how someone had called and asked the other day. He said that he’d expect no hostess to know what was in it. I also told him that I carry a lot of Fogo pads and write everything down. He said that he likes this project and kind of wishes that he’d been doing it too. I’m not sure I’ll ever stop. Well there’s still a shit ton I haven’t written. Oh well. I literally have pages of notes I haven’t copied down. Trevor works at Bullvinos now. I sat with Emily on break and talked to her quite a bit. I also spoke quite a bit of Spanish on break. Maybe I could ask Emily for her Spanish greet too. I did learn a ton of people had left or were fired today. I’m not even sure who. Oh well, I’m out of space, bye. I also got 20$ tips and managed to lose it already. Ah well.
