EMTs who saved my life

Updated: Oct 17, 2024

Oct. 24, 2022: Well today I met the EMTs who saved my life. And other people, but that was the one I really cared about. It was Allan Oyaas and Ryan Doheny. The night of the accident Ryan was driving and Allan was in the back. They said they didn’t think I was dead. I also had a photo of them with no masks but it didn’t show my tattoo. That’s in this photo! Today I wore the work pants, work shoes, and shirt in this photo. I also wore a sweater shirt to Sabathani, but changed into this at HCMC. I also shared the link to my photo blog with some people today. The other interesting things Doheny and Oyaas said was that you couldn’t tell what was blood and what wasn’t the night of the crash because I was wearing all black. Also today at Sabathani there was an ad for Fogo on the radio, and the Red Cross visted. This has nothing to do with my HCMC visit. I didn’t really write down much else from that, just the blood and black clothing comment. Really happy to have met the paramedics. I also told them that until very recently I wasn’t even happy to have survived the crash, but now I am, especially after my good day at Fogo. They also said that they don’t pick up a lot of people who are in such bad shape as me. That’s me, just in terrible shape. They also said they use jokes and humor a lot to deal with all the shit they see. That was intersting but not surprising. I also met with some of my therapists, like Elise and Megan. Not a great point to end but I might as well do it. I also ended today at 12,007 steps, after I took a walk.
